Currently sitting at 265k. Dealer records indicate the SC was installed around the 5k mark.

Could be a bad vent valve, possibly a bad purge valve. This vent valve opens to allow fresh air into charcoal canister for it to purge the stored vapors in the canister back into the intake to be burned. On my '04, both the vent and purge valves are on drivers side under the hood, near the master cylinder. Not sure if they'd be in the same place on the '99. They are simple on off valves and you can test them with a 12V power supply.

I have for sure. That video alone I was smelling clutch hard core. Thought I glazed it.

I won't go 37's unless LT or SFA with a bigger axle in the rear. Need beefier driveline.

I say let it ride unless you need to clear it to pass inspection like I did. I think the worse thing that'll happen is your mileage will go down.

Added memory foam lumbar support under the driver side seat cover. I do like it feels more comfortable for my lower back on longer trips.

Those seat covers fit like granny panties. Needs more tensions on the edges.

Anyone had the codes p0420 and p0401 on a 2.4 4 banger get fixed just by replacing the front o2 sensor? I’ve got it on hand and debating putting it on before I check the cat to see if it’s clogged etc

I would not bother buying any used supercharger for the 3.4 unless it was under $1300. For the price and hassle of rounding up all the installation parts, buying a new belt, having the snout rebuilt, etc... It's not worth it when they usually go on sale for $3000 every year around the end of November. Not sure if that's going to happen this year though.

@Dan8906 can't do a FIC6 since in California and due for emissions check in August... :anonymous:

Sure. I was planning on going to the post office in the next few days and get ship it out to you.

Technically true but he could get away with it if he hides it from the visual inspection. I have the URD 7th installed which is not legal in CA but I've passed smog visual twice with it. Just hid the piggyback for it up behind the glove box, wrapped the fuel line going to the supercharger in black tape so it looks like any other dirty vacuum line. Never had an issue...yet

The one thing they are really strict about is the CARB sticker for the supercharger, they will check that

CA legal route is to buy a new supercharger from Magnuson that comes with the CARB sticker and letter.
OR buying a used "TRD" one you may be able to find a fake (reproduced) CARB sticker on eBay.

You are not legally allowed to use the 7th injector or aftermarket ECUs in CA.

    Or Methanol spray.

The only CA 'legal' fuel mod you can do here is the TRD 7th injector (not URD), but those were discontinued ages ago and a rare find anymore. But they came with a CARB sticker.

That being said, the only way you'll fail a test with any other fuel mod is if you make it easy to spot. The visual inspection is just a quick pop of the hood, obviously they'll notice the supercharger so you'll have to have the CARB sticker for that. I've never had them inspect the inside of my cab or measure the pulley or anything like that. Have had my URD kit installed for 4 years and no trouble with them.

I guess it could vary from smog place to smog place, but I make sure to go to the same one because they know my truck now.
