That new body style looks pretty good. Very nice and muscular, looks almost like a baby last-gen silverado. I’m hoping for more engines and a manual trans option if possible in the future.

While I'm unlikely to ditch my 5 lug (it does all I want) I would only be interested in smaller.

Like the Ford smaller than the bulging Ranger, supposedly being based on the Bronco, and named Courier (as of yore in US) or Maverick (which would be weird on a truck)

    Fun to watch though

Yellow? I think Yellow was only available supercharged.

I think the availability depended on year because I don't recall it being S/C. Definitely yellow, though--he went yellow Frontier to yellow Xterra to gold Frontier lol.

Not if it looks like a baby titan, at this point I'm only excited because hopefully it will make Toyota give the Tacoma a better power output. Either by a turbo 4 or ~300hp v6, preferably the Turbo 4.

My 2016 Pro 4X has been great. No issues.

When I am ready to purchase again in about 6 years I will take a look at all the mid size trucks. Just like I did in 2016.

    Hoping for this look.

Either way I'll be checking it out. My '10 Pro-4x 6spd has been great! I'll be ready for something new in 4-5 years. I've heard the 3.8L and 9spd in the '20 is a significant upgrade in a few aspects.

I've driven various 6 lug toyotas since highschool (91, 93, 97, 2011, 2015) all with manual trans except my current 2015.

There's just something about how they feel going down the road. Feed-back through the suspension/steering, the feel of the gearbox, seating position, even the layout of the pedals. Nothing else comes close.

Rangers, frontiers, mazda pickups all feel bulky and unstable. Feels like you're swaying around in a boat, the road is down there somewhere, no feeling of whats going on down at wheels.

Every time a manufacturer comes out with a new truck thats supposed to compete with Toyota everyone is talking about options, trims, new car value ratings, etc.. thats the wrong question. The real question is whats this truck going to be doing in 10 or 20 yrs? Sitting in a junkyard? Listed on CL for 900 bucks?

Where's all the 98 Rangers? Where's all the 2002 frontiers? You can't give them away..
Meanwhile you can find late 90s toyotas all day long that still have value. They don't sit on used car lots for weeks, they get snapped up quick

Like it or not, they've got the reputation. They had it long before bluetooth connectivity and backup cameras and lockers

So yes.. I'm a fanboy lol

Ooff some truth here. I had a 99 ranger regularly cab 4.0L with manual trans. Loved that thing! Only reason I got rid of it was because a regular cab wasn't cutting it anymore. Never had a major issue, except the heater core went out on it and had to tear the dash and steering column completely out to get to it. It's alright had some spare parts left over at the end hahah

Anyways that thing wasn't worth much but looking back if I was able to I would've kept it. Just wasn't in the cards at the time. If it were you bet your ass it would be caged no bed solid front on 40s

The 90's GTR we could not get here in the states was slick. Id love one. Not the new one.
I had a 90 stanza with a manual transmission that car was fun for a bread n butter car.
Sadly Nissan is not the same they lost the way when the French joined them.

Nissans are total rust buckets. Even the luxury Infinity lines which you expect they could do better, which they're not. Nissan will have to do better to earn my money.

It's a good looking truck and would be a real contender as a potential Tacoma replacement, except one little deal breaker....no manual = no sale. This isn't the only example, Toyota dropped it from the 4 cyl, Subaru is dropping it from more models. Not good :(

Honestly I'm playing the waiting game here. I've been wanting to see what the 21 frontier will look like from official photos. At the same time the 21 taco is enticing me. Let's see what happens.

I'm not too excited. Nissan in general has not been doing so well and I lack confidence in their US products.

Solid point. Toyotas, especially their trucks, are known to be rust free.

Toyotas do have hiccups not gonna lie. But nearly every Nissans we’ve ever owned disintegrated on our driveway. My Xterra is sitting on the wheel arches as we speak.
