At the Northern Tool here, they have this huge poster right as you walk in, hanging fromt he celing. it's a picture of a guy laying under a truck, and has the caption, "Cold dinner, the sign of another job well done."

axel grease works fine. you can get small tubes of it for a couple bucks at the autoparts store. i never actually thought abotu age requirements for grease. i don't think there is one though.

you can take that route, or it comes in cartrages for grease guns. either will work, both are cheap

 

does any body know off the top of their heads what the tread size & pitch on the automatic shift lever is?

my aftermarket knob just uses the plastic insert that threads itsself

you building your own shift knob?

 

no i was looking at getting a Hurst T-Handle knob, and i thought the threads were 8 mm x 1.25

 

From what I just found it seems all Toys use a 12x1.25

ah, well, sorry i can't help with the size/pitch. however, i know a couple guys who have them (not tacomas), and they absolutely love them.

i think i might buy one of these, the automatic treads are 8mm x 1.25 and the manual is 12mm x 1.50
