I meant that in a good way; didn't even know that thread existed and if rust was an ongoing issue where I lived, I'd venture to scroll through a lot of those threads linked.

Hopefully people make use of it.

Chrome isn’t as desirable on cars lately. Everyone’s going black or gunmetal etc. I would take advantage of this pricing. It may not be 100% what you want but it shall grow on you

there's a thread on here somewhere in the 2nd gen section where someone was running cheap wheels and one of them split while going 50+mph down the roadway, sent his truck rolling

    Fuck that....I believe it.

It's one thing cheaping out on say, an add-on for your vehicle but wheels?

Just imagine a Camry hauling ass down the freeway only for a wheel to bust and send that car head-on with your own

I feel that way a lot driving in CA with some of the janky ass cars that are on the road. For all of CA's obsession with smog equipment you'd think they'd give a shit about vehicle safety as well, but nope...as long as it rolls and passes smog (or "passes" smog) it's good lol.

Government vehicle safety inspections are a sham. Look at all the janky ass semi trucks cruising around, those all have to be inspected. It's just another tax with the illusion of public safety.

But they're made out of an already manufactured wheel?

Yea that you cut the lip off and weld a new lip and beadlock ring to. That weld fails and the tire flys off.

I'll put it this way, my multicolored pos that leaves a puddle of oil everywhere it parks with mismatched wheels ad broken door handles... is parked 2 houses down from a c8 corvette, and across the street from a mercedes amg gt
