Surprised you like cats. Just because they hate swimming and can't join in your naked cannonballs

This is true! With Moose if I want him to sit I need to point down and if I want him to lay I need to my hand straight and vertical like when playing rock, paper, scissors.

    We did Petsmart as well

I cross my arms for sit, like opposite fist to shoulder.
I do like the straight hand for lay down. I don’t use the point as a sit, because I like to point at things for the dog to get.

Anyone got any good home remedies for dumbass dogs who tangle with black and white cats that turn out to not be cats but rather little furry stink bombs? Asking for a friend...

I’ve used mouthwash in a pinch, obviously tomato juice...but then the dog smells like bad pasta for a few days. Adding a drop of dish soap to either helps. And a clothespin. For your nose.

My dog just got sprayed by a skunk, so clearly not top of his class. I don't envision learning anything from him...

Peroxide, baking soda and dawn dish soap. I forget the ratio but that’s what we did when our boxer got sprayed about 6 or 7 years ago

Thanks for the suggestions, all. We've tried a couple of them so far, I'll give some of the others a shot today. So far, we've done, vinegar bath, regular dog shampoo, peroxide + baking soda + Dawn, Dawn on it's own, another diluted vinegar bath and more dog shampoo. He has a faint odor of vanilla oatmeal pickled skunk. Seems to get a little better with each step. We'll keep washing him and I think time will be the cure-all. We are at least letting him back in the house today!

When I washed dogs for a summer job, we put dabs of vanilla extract around the dog's neck. That was a good way to overpower the faint skunk smell that remained. Skunks are more annoying than porcupines but much less traumatic.

The foot pads and nose retained the smell for at least a month...Regardless of how many washes.

Soft topper. Up for grabs. I would replace the weather stripping I got it second hand. Let me know if anyone is interested. Short bed. Listed on fb for 500 I paid 450 a few weeks ago and then used it for a road trip. Ended up sleeping in the back seat with air conditioning instead of in the bed so no need for the topper for future excursions anyway. I can let it go for 400 but no lower. If anyone is interested let me know y’all have first dibs. After that it’s going on the BST and Facebook. :D

My cats aren't allowed outside anyway. You'd be surprised though, my old Maine coon would play with water from the faucet or hang out when I was in the tub

Yes sir, I lived in Hingham right at the Rockland line. Ironically, I work right up the street from there now and the BW place is now a Home Depot.
