Hey @Gritto. I have your picture up on my phone screen and am pressing a body part against it. Take a guess what part.

    True.
I have V&H Cruzers on my Vulcan.
Baffles and packing in...it's still pretty damn loud.

I had an Intruder with Cobras that was ear splitting loud.
The guy I sold it to liked 'em though.
His eyes got wide when I fired her up.
    That sold him.

I wonder how his hearing is now?

Because it's easier to set broken bones when the meats still on them.

I had a stupid and weird get off last year. It was a relaxing evening, but a got all excited, blew a corner, and lowsided once the tires touched the swarf on the outside. My freaking jeans didn't have even a scuff. Just good bruise on me underneath. I did have my jacket, gloves, and boots on. Not scuff on those either. This was probably at 40mph+ onto concrete.

Before I got up, I would have imagined some mangled leg meat.

I was thankful for my live starter since there was no more clutch lever. It took all the battery had to get rolling in 1st.

Truth be told, I only ride the back roads anymore.
    Or in town.

If I could only ride wearing a leather jacket, on a day like today, I'll pass.

    On a serious note...

I've been trying to sell my bike, actually.
Too many guys I've known have gotten some middle-aged hankering for a Harley.
Guys who never had a real bike before.
    And ended up dead.
Me, I've had motorcycles off and on since I was 16.
All I ever got was a fucked up knee from dumping a bike on gravel at low speed.
    Time to quit.
    I'm 65.

Just counting (not a bit of bragging here), four total get offs and the worst was a tiny strawberry on my elbow. My shoulder and leg joints were a bit angry after that stupidity last year.

yeah they happen, specially if you're riding hard. this is part of the reason I got away from sport bikes. I tend to drive a little more sane on my cruisers.
