If you guys would like to help out some small businesses, I have some friends who own a few in Denton county. The voting for 'best of' is happening now and could use your support. I have worked with/been a customer of each of them in some capacity and they have my full backing. Winning is a huge opportunity for exposure and bragging rights amongst the community. No hard feelings if you aren't comfortable voting blind, but I know they would appreciate it.

Yep it’s open, passed by the bridge earlier today. Go to Reynosa, everything is cheaper and better although the crime is higher

Why closed forever?

 

Back strap rated for 8 minutes, cubed and put back in the stew.

Stew Ingredients
1 quart Beef Broth
5 tbsp rendered bacon fat
1/4 cup shredded carrot
3 medium potatoes, cubed
1 sweet onion, diced
1/3 bulb of garlic, crushed
1-2 lbs venison back strap (whole)

Marinade
1/8 cup Lea & Perrin Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder

Put (completely defrosted if frozen) venison, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and onion powder into Crockpot. If blood and meat juice is still packaged with venison, add it to the marinade.

Let sit 1 hour, covered, in the Crockpot.

After marinating at room temperature, set Crockpot to high and add all other ingredients, minus carrots. Let sit on high for 2 hours, or until venison is cooked thoroughly.

Remove venison, add carrots, adjust temperature to low and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. After resting, cube venison and add it back to the stew. Let stew simmer on low for 15-30 minutes to allow carrots to soften.

Serves 6-ish or two fat people.

I ate a piece of cubed venison before I added it back and it had that amazing, marinated, liver-ish flavor.

 

Nobody really knows who owns that land. On bad days the cops will go in there and kick everyone out
