Yeah, I don't know if anyone has done it. Assuming you'll be in a helmet it's a non-issue.

Lots of extra padding make the cab like a padded insane asylum room

Not with purpose-built prerunners - I'd call luxury prerunner shops like Stewart Raceworks. See what they say.

This truck is designed to be beat on to the point where the impact sensors would be going off all the time. Air bags just won’t work for this application

Still having the front airbags I’m a little shocked they haven’t gone off really. Definitely smash the front bumper/ skid all the time.

I think @Arcticelf is considering more slow roll over protection being in PA

Anything under 50mph is a slow speed roll over in my world... if you can’t put the thing back on all fours and keep going then it wasn’t built right :)

Living in New England growing up anything over 30 is really moving off road on anything other than a fire road.

I blew all mine in my first truck off road. Hit the front skid plate and sent them all off.

My 2nd gen i got on the cheap is going to end up costing me big cash in parts and tools if you keep showing stuff like this man.:spending: I am stoked to see what the full cage looks like finished up before the interior starts going back in.

Pelfreybilt steel skid - 2015 4 banger. I hit a deep rut going about 45-50. I have the report from the black box. System thought the truck was going to roll so set off side curtain airbags too. It was actually just a country road; not even technically "off road". There's a video on youtube of a guy that had the same event occur except he was crawling a rock face and slammed his frame. This impact was much worse than mine

    NOT my truck below

Damn wtf!?! I’ve hit way harder than the video and same to the front with no deployment. Maybe I got lucky? Latest was not seeing the 3.5’ tall and 3’ round tree stump leaving rubicon springs. Hit that bitch dead center on my front skid and had to get winched off it lol. Good thing there was a big crowd watching us leave camp.

I'm kind of glad I totalled my truck. I bought the v6 after haha. But yeah, not sure how it happened.

Just wait until you see the high stall converter with a lock out switch we are doing for this truck... it’s really gonna wake the 4.0 up!

HP Tuners has support for the 2nd gens now as well. Wakes up these trucks a fair bit between engine and trans tuning.

It’s not about tuning, it has to do with the RPM stall limits in the converter. Swapping to a higher stall will ensure the motor is always in the power band
