What are you paying for 2020 Tacomas?

One can only hope regarding inventory. I'm a little perplexed, with the factory coming back online in May why inventory hasn't notched up at least a bit. Certainly possible Toyota is hedging their bets to ensure they don't overproduce if we're heading in to a prolonged recessionary period.

 

Man I didn't realize these were optioned up over $40k so often. This feels a bit like the Miata craze in early 90s.

 

The deal looks pretty good, minus the $999 fee, which could/should be negotiated. If a 4x2 works for @TacoUCF than why pay a few grand more for a 4x4? The majority of Tacoma owners buy 4x4s more for their ego than the practicality and for their actual needs. If you never plan on off roading, than a 4x4 isn't needed, it's just extra cost, weight, and moving parts. It's a 4x4, not AWD, so the advantage of power to all 4 wheels is a manual process and may never be used at all, depending on the needs.

 

Well the vehicle swap the dealership was trying to get the Silver truck I posted about last week fell apart yesterday. They were not able to secure it.

The sales person wanted me to consider other colors so it told him any but black or red.
He came back later in the afternoon telling me another area dealer showed an inbound SR5 in Cement but it looked like it was on reserve. That dealership happened to call them about a vehicle they had and wanted to trade. They were able to get the incoming Cement one as part of the trade deal. That's awesome as it was the color I really wanted most.
It's supposed to arrive at the original dealership between July 21 to 31. Looks like I'll have it the first week of August.

 

Maybe that one was mine. All of a sudden the dealer said we can't get your truck "we ordered 6 weeks ago. They aren't making any cement trucks now (But we have a cement TRD Sport coming)" BS

I paid 41k for a 2020 DCLB Quicksand Off Road with Premium package, from Mountain States Toyota in northern Devner, CO last November. It was the only quicksand DCLB w/premium with in a 100 miles of the greater Denver area. Now I realize how lucky I was to get it when I did...

 

Scored my 2019 DCSB Cement Premium/Tech/Leather with 12k miles on it from a private party in SoCal. Kings front and rear, Total Chaos UCA's, Pro grill, skid plate, 33" tires, Method wheels for: $36,500. Considering where things stand here in Cali in-terms of inventory - I'm feeling damn lucky right about now. Dealers up here in Norcal charging 3-5k OVER MSRP for the same damn thing - minus all the sweet add-ons.

Hey man that actually worked out pretty good in my favor... I have to wait a little longer than if the other one came through. I was considering putting in an "order" and waiting 8-10 weeks or more since it seemed hard to find anything.

 

I believe it was mentioned earlier but does anyone know when the 2021 models will start arriving? I'm sure this pandemic crap may alter things but it's already almost August.

It all depends on the user, i bought it to have peace of mind. My last truck was a 4x2 and regretted not buying a 4x4. If he can live without the 4x4, more power to him. He can save a good amount of green. But also in the future 4x4's are easier to sell as there is more demand for them.

 

Nope. Just the Sport. Head room issues with the Sun roof. The same but premium was another $2500. I remember there would have been change from a 50,000 dollar bill.

 

Looks like we aren't in the same region so probably not. Hope you get your truck soon.
