Effin A brother ... it was mental health issues I've struggled with my whole life that lead me to move into a vehicle full time. Off and on again I probably lived on the streets for 8 years of my life over the 3+ decades I've been alive.. I considered myself "houseless" lol i never begged for money and I wouldn't take food as a handout unless I could exchange an odd job for it (rake a yard here, clean gutters out there) I wasn't above digging through trash for food (the amount of good food people throw away in public cans still makes me upset) I was able to keep a fulltime job for the most part but paranoia kept me from trusting "the system" enough to hold an apt or stay in one place too long

Most important lesson I can share with anyone that cares enough to read to this point..

you don't have to give a homeless person shit. You don't HAVE to feel bad or guilty for not sharing what you worked for with them. But when they wave their sign at you at least acknowledge you see them .. give a smile or a head nod ... nothing puts you deeper in the dirt then having everyone that walks past you act like you're invisible or not a real person

@BartMaster1234 drove the truck some and checked a couple things couldn’t find anything else obvious. Truck is running smooth wth. Oh well gonna drive it and see what all she’s got. Love this truck for real. People look at me crazy when I tell them I don’t want a brand new truck

We have to grab a beer sometime

But yeah that's what I mean about treating any homeless person less than a human being; we're social creatures. A simple interaction costs you nothing, and could go a long way for someone that is used to being ignored at every moment in their lives.

It won't be ready for Moab this year (if you even go or if there's even a trip still scheduled) but hopefully next year.

Worst case scenario I'll come to central CA to share a beer

I'd hate for you to have to deal with the BS cops have to deal with though:oops:

Yeah, I notice it more now, strangely enough. Most of it is newer Tacoma/4 Runner guys. For whatever reason, they get super cunty about "cutting up a classic."

Little kids fuckin love it though.

Well I want to be a fish and game warden. But you need to be a cop for 5 years first. But thank you for saying that.

The physical capabilities and requirements for law enforcement have always been low.
