They fit with no trimming. I will say it is a very tight fit and it will not fully seat until you tighten the coil down. I don’t think the rutheum spark plugs help us here because they are wider than normal plugs

Yeah, my problem is that it FEELS like it's more, and maybe so, but until we actually take it the track and make a few runs then we can make our conversions from there and then determine what the real life numbers are.

Remember to factor in the HP drivetrain loss and that actually puts me at 359.5 HP crank, so definitely not a slouch at all!

Is iit a "because the boots are dry and going onto a dry surface" issue?

If so, a little silicone paste on the boots would probably do wonders.

Mine had something applied to them from Ripp, but it seemed to be some sort of dry grease. I will try some silicone and see if I can get them to go in more better.

That’s a wrap for tonight, I need more day light to get mad at the other side.

On a side note I am glad I got an excuse to use my new shiny tools and I love them.

I saw the white stuff inside the boots. I'm going to attempt to toss them on in the morning and use some silicone paste on the boots to ensure they slide in nicely over the plugs without fighting them.

Let me know how it goes. I may still take them off and trim a bit off the end. I think the issue is how the ends are a lot more narrow than the stock ones, and our spark plugs are fatties also.

Also just wanted to add I removed this bracket on the passenger side. 957AD037-63A1-4E8B-A589-A0875A6B6F4C.jpgToyota really didn’t leave a lot of slack with those coil plugs. A good and a bad thing lol

You know the issue with that is that the bracket you removed holds the main harness. I'll have to take a look at it tomorrow and determine what the best course of action is with that one.

Well I’m a dumbass. Got my new Hptuned Ecu and didn’t know I had to resync the immobilizer thingy lol at least I learned to get good at removing the ecu. Anyone in here that can chime in how much different the @JustDSM tune will be compared to the TRD tune? I’m just doing it for the cel to go away and I’ll be happy lol

Night and day difference with the OE drivability and smoothness retained.

    Oh? How come?

I guess a bigger problem is the fact my main harness wasn’t even hooked to that. But there is another one a little bit closer to the fender and I clipped it onto that one so should be good enough for me.

@snowsk8air2 I've done a little pondering since we were talking about the Dyno stuff here. Here is some food for thought...

This entire little schpeal will assume an 18% loss from the flywheel to the rear wheels, which up to this point has proved near spot on.

Base power levels of the TRD Supercharger is supposed to raise power levels to 68/68 over OE 236 (Stepped down to about 191 real world wheel numbers). You add the blower that puts you at 304 flywheel. Losses puts you at 249 real world. Given all the mods I got which put me at 304.7 (305) rear wheel power that would imply a 55.7 HP (56) gain over OE boosted levels which is a 82% increase over original supercharger power efforts. Considering the mods, Intake/ Exhaust/ Cam Gears/ 2.8 pulley/ tune that's not too horrible a jump up over base blower power levels. Slap some E85 in that sucker and you are looking at a nice 20-30 HP additional bump over that.

I was initially disappointed when I first saw my numbers, but thinking about it in hindsight and considering the overall parasitic loss rise as HP increases, I'll gladly accept the power levels now.

Good rational. I would have felt the same. 356 crank and 305 hp is not too bad. I was hoping you were going to come in a bit higher. Would have been a cool test to have you run it with a 2.5 or 2.3 regardless of some of the heat and other issues to see what you were putting out.

Too many times it had been in the way. With as many times as I have been under the valve covers, or pulled the engine.

That's true actually. It has gotten in my way multiple times. Maybe I should just pull it off. OE sucks anyways.
