Thanks. I've got a DC cord for it. I could run it off the outlet in the bed and hope I had a battery in the morning. I had a battery pack that lasted all of one use. May get another one real quick and go from there. Oh I hate this thing so much.

I've been on one for over 25 years. I can't sleep without it. You wakre up real fast if the power goes out. If you have a 12v DC outlet in the truck bed you should be fine. Carrying a booster pack with you may be a good idea. The CPAP doesn't draw many amps though at least mine doesn't. Another option would be a Renogy 100watt suitcase solar panel. It folds up and stows in a carry case and comes with alligator clamps so you can attach to the battery. You could also run a second battery charged by the solar. It comes with it's own charge controller and everything already to go.

Nice! I like the way the soft top drops.. they put some thought in to that one.

Not to jack up the Taco forum with Heep talk.. Why a Rubi, and not a sport?

Big axles, dual lockers, steel front and back, and it was one of 3 sticks they had on the lot. For me it had a lot of the stuff I aspired to with the truck, just stock. And at a killer price.

    Rite rite. Was curious.

I chose a sport (14 JKU) to build out one day as I did more stuff. I had thought about the Rubi, but didn't like the electo sway bar disco. and a few other things that could only be used in 4 low. To each his own though. either way.. Cool beanie weenies.

I can't sleep without mine either, but I still have some sleeping problems to iron out. Be going on a third study at some point.

If I start the camping more often I'll probably invest in a dual battery setup. I'm just not at the point where I can justify the cost yet.

Thanks again for some ideas. I've got some thinking to do.

Word. Nothing like taking over the job and immediately having to deal with a hurricane...especially as a weather guy, haha. Plus, I'm supposed to move into my new house and get my household goods delivered on Monday. Good times!

I was up there Tuesday with my wife and a lunch box, easy route, 2wd all the way, and did not air down, stock Sport. Loose and packed gravel, and only one pinstripe that I could see. I thought about going down to Meadow Knob from there, but the descent looked a little narly (bigger moguls than I remember) and it had just rained heavily for about 15 minutes. I've only been up that way once, so I would have preferred a spotter. (And my wife said no.)

Pull the tubes before you go. I did that in stock Sport and only had one hit on the front skid.

If it's not busy, shouldn't be bad. Some spots will definitely leave pinstripes. Pull outs are not plentiful in the middle section around the valley, but not bad a little higher up. On Monday the only things I saw were a hiker with three dogs and a deer.

Problem solved apparently...no more Taco no more tube steps, no more armor company compatibility dilemmas no more "initial" worries for FPK outting!
