This is what sucks for me, I live right by one and would have to buy different passes for different parking spots :pout:

We checked one out at the Hall County library right before they closed for COVID the first time, so we got to keep it for several weeks. When they finally opened and we turned it in, they told my wife that they would no longer be offering the state park pass. In hindsight, I wish we had asked if we could just keep it indefinitely. It's worth checking with your library, but ours isn't offering it anymore.

As for how it would work, I don't know the answer to that. Ideally, we could all purchase separately and have them mailed to us. If you have to purchase all 10 at the same time, we'll spend more than the $5 in gas trying to coordinate a meetup. I've never gotten one before, so I don't know what all comes with it. If it's just the tag that hangs in the mirror, it might fit in an envelope and could be sent for a stamp or two.

We're currently 3 people shy and I'm sure more will chime in as time goes on. I'll try to call them over my lunch break either today or tomorrow and get more info.

Corps of Engineers lakes is sort of ... I’ve used these at Red Top which is on Allatoona but not if you go to like Knox bridge boat ramp outside the state park that’s back to Federal run if I understand correctly. Honestly it’s just a worthy cause for me personally, like my custom tag and my hunting/fishing license it all goes back into conservation in hopes my son gets to see as much still not paved over or killed off before he gets to experience it all.

Yeah the two spots on Allatoona next to me don't take the state pass which sucks, but I'd still use it at Red Top

Army corp is different pass as you are describing. It does kind of suck if you're trying to get one pass for parks and fishing as most of the time you will need 2 passes.

I’m sure most know this already.... Army Corp Property does not follow GA firearms laws either. Be aware if you are headed out to the lakes, but they finally are looking to make some changes.

Well I crunched my rear bumper today. If anyone wants a cement gray bumper for free I will have one for pieces.

I got a 25% off REI brand items coupon in my inbox today. I've come to the conclusion its time I retire a lot of my well loved but old camping gear.
Everything I use is pushing 15+ years old and is very heavily hiking/backpacking oriented. My current life reality is that I do more truck camping when I camp at all, so weight isn't as paramount as it once was in my buying strategy.

With that said, anyone have any good recommendations on REI Co-Op branded camping gear?
Most anything is on the table, but I'm leaning more towards higher the priced items to fully take advantage of the coupon (tent/sleeping bag/stove/etc).

I will say this about REI's coupons....They usually only work on full priced items. And alot of the times (if not rei brand) you can find the same item for less than what it would be at rei full price minus 25% off at other online places like moosejaw or campmor, etc... Just a heads up.

Going on 20+ years as an REI coop member, so not my first rodeo. But you are correct regarding most coupons being only for full price items (kinda standard with most coupon anywhere really) unless otherwise stated.

I have yet to find anything I’m looking to buy from rei at a significant savings elsewhere once I factor in my membership dividends and rei CC cash back. Not saying I only buy from rei, just saying it’s not as overpriced as some make it out to be. There’s a multitude of other reasons I buy from them, as I’m sure other folks have a host of reasons to be elsewhere.

    Thanks for you input though.
