I haven't do e ECT but have used sport, this thing will boogy!

The ride is nice and soft which means crap for hauling. This thing feels absolutely tiny!!!. Had five people in it yesterday and they all thought the cab which is supposed to be same size feels smaller than my 2nd gen. Wish I could park it next to mine, makes it look like a giant I'm sure. This one has 36k on the clock and isn't the cleanest I side. Was probably just traded in as there was a Dunkin bag in the rear.

    Happy birthday @m603holden !

This truck has that. I wouldn't have ordered one with it because it's expensive. I could see it maybe being nice on a long trip, and it's cool to play with, but definitely not a feature I really care about.

My last Ford didn't have the cell modem to allow starting from my phone (it wasn't standard for 2018 and I was too cheap to add it to my build). This one does. The building my office is in is made of brick and cinderblock, so I can't start it with the remote without being at the exterior doors closest to the truck--app works though. It'll also let you schedule starts, which I guess would be cool if I were a more consistent/scheduled person.

I use it occasionally for hiking/kayaking, but most of the times I use it are when I need to go out to the truck to get something and didn't think to grab my key. I just punch in my code and I'm in!

What search sites are you guys using to look for vehicles? All I know how to do is look at the individual dealerships web page and they seem inadequate.

I used the manufacturer's search. Ford and Ram have a pretty good one that will let you put in the options and pulls dealers within a certain area with trucks that meet your requirements. I expect GM must have something similar.

That seriously is the thing that I miss the most about my F150. I used to just lock the key inside when I was hunting, swimming, boating, etc. and didn't have to worry about it jumping out of my pocket

I loved this and any Ford I’d buy in the future would have it. 10/10 awesome, one of those things that’s sorta silly until you try it.

I like car gurus too. Cars.com is okay but I prefer gurus. I did notice that there are some dealers who don’t use both, so worth checking both imo.

I'm not sure if it still applies to motors that have had the system disabled, but excessive oil consumption and compression issues followed eventually by complete failure is a ridiculously common problem with those motors.

You can't disable it, the engine internals still have all the failure-prone parts. You can electronically disable it so it doesn't kick on and off, but I don't believe it does anything to help eliminate the potential failure. That being said, some people have excellent luck and never experience the failure. It seems to be luck of the draw.

Too many miles if you ask me. I really wouldn't want to own one of these GM vehicles over 100k miles.

re adaptive cruise it comes on all Tacoma’s now. F150 is an up option. If I had to buy a new truck tomorrow again I wouldn’t make it a need. Cruise yes. Adaptive nah. Is good but for the amount of good not worth the extra on a ford or making it a need in a truck. Sedan for sure.

It’s already been enabled for 5 years the damage is done.
