I’d still have to get a new rack to mount a tent that high. I like my low bed bars so I can keep the tent weight down low.

Installed sound deadener. Haven’t noticed a difference. Maybe I missed something.

I really wanted the convenience of a hardshell "popup" and almost went with the roofnest, but at the end of the day, I decided I didn't want anything hanging off the back of my bed or going over the top of the cab. I ended up with the FSR High Country 63 premium because it sits almost level (about 2 inches high) with the roofline and the footprint fits inside the bed perfectly with room for me to have access the the side rails and front rail where my tools are mounted. I am running relentless fab 8 1/2" bed bars. So far, I love the set up.

I complained about it while I was in process. But having gone through it, it’s not so bad. If you aren’t in the rust belt that helps.

Impact and 24mm socket for the slip yoke nut. A couple 14mm wrenches and pipe for leverage and a 17mm to remove the drive line. And rent a ujoint press And have a three jaw puller and a strap To pull the slip yoke and old bearing. Do it once and fight with it. Next time will be a breeze.

read all the comments in this thread... there are good tips.

Nice! I have mine on some relentlessfab bars too but mine are a little lower. I can go a little higher at some point now that I have the roof rack on the truck. I kind of like it where it is though. Makes setting the tent up even easier being low.

Where did you install it? Also recognize that product is to dampen vibrations in flimsy door panels etc. it’s not exactly a sound deadener. To maximize the effect you need mass loaded vinyl or closed cell foam on top of that.

I used a similar product on my cab ceiling and added a layer of the foam too. It really helped me there.

    +50 glamping points achieved!
    :transformer:

Installed and did a test run of my Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic Awning 270 today! So damn big and so nice. Takes a minute and a half to set up and 2 minutes to take down. Seems super sturdy. Love that you can use this thing without legs in mild weather. This is going to make camping so much nicer...

Will do a review when we take it proper camping

Yea I am headed down that path for both the Taco and my wife's burb. I think I am going to go with this. Did you do it your self or have it done by someone else?

    https://www.amazon.com/Gtechniq-Crystal-ceramic-composite-protection/dp/B01GIOZD0I

A friend of mine that details recommended it. He also quoted me $800 to detail the burb in and out and ceramic coat it, so I don't really know how good of a friend he is.:rofl::rofl:

Haven’t done anything yet. Just delivered yesterday. Targeting doors and back wall. Hope to knock down some noise. Not looking for sound booth quality.

I’m a detailer myself lol so I did it myself. I used a ceramic coating from avalon king and it’s amazing. Got it on sale for $105 for 3 bottles. Basically gave away 2 bottles. 6369AFE3-D657-4C91-A3FB-4C16D2360A6D.jpg
$800 is actually a pretty darn good price since most professionals will charge anywhere from $1200-$2000. At the end of the day it really isn’t hard to do, you just need time and a lot of patience. It’s very meticulous and you have to make sure everything looks perfect before you apply the coating. Applying the coating is the easiest part, it’s the prep that sucks.

It is. OME nitrochargers with 885 springs infront and the medium duty leafs in back. I added the OME add a leaf to the pack recently though which makes it the heavy duty. I probably should have gone with 886’s up front though. Thought I would be fine since I went with a low pro bumper not a full but it would be better with the 886’s

Thanks! would you say 885’s up from with stock bumpers is sufficient then? Did you order from @HeadStrong Off-Road?
