I know companies are always under threat but to completely take a company down is insane. Somebody probably clicked an email link they shouldn’t have.

I’ve been considering going towards cyber security....maybe I should actually do it haha

Yup. No issues topless. OP’s inquiry was regarding fitting bikes in the bed with a shell on.

@SenatorBlutarsky @flipnidaho I'm looking to try a new anti-wobble stabilizer for my rakattach swingout. Maybe I'll feel comfortable using it again and not worry about how much flex I'm getting with our two bikes loaded. Watching it in the rearview while going over dips in the highway last time did not make me feel very good.

    Any recommendations?

Why don’t you drive down to the dealership and put your bike in the bed of a lb? Everyone’s bikes are different and so are their shells.

Right at 37” in the middle of the bed. The entry point of the shell is often a limiting factor/challenge for carrying bikes. Again, the measurements I’ve provided are for a standard cab height shell with a bed mat.

I would but I’m currently overseas deployed, otherwise I’d go to a place the next town over. However I’m in the market for a long bed for when I get back. Researching options before I drop the money.

Also thanks for the other measurement!

More surface area on the hub/fork interface. They say it's stiffer. Will you notice? Probably not

Are they a requirement to run a RS fork?

No. You can run without it but it's easier to fit the wheel in with them because the dropout cutout is bigger than the 15mm end caps

Soooooo if you guys have a truck why do you want to put the bike inside the bed all the way? Just go for a tailgate pad or a hitch rack. I personally can't stand taking the dang wheel off every time I put the bike in the car (then again I live in Breckenridge and move my bike around many times a day from work, etc.) haha

I ended up going with the Bedrock rack with Front Loader from Yakima. Wheel left on bike with ample storage space in the bed and sleeping room.

Theres an argument to be made for or against every method of bike transport. No one way is best or worst for everyone. Find what works for you and do it.

I'm partial to a hitch rack as well, but I've also loaded bikes onto fork mounts both under and on top of a topper for years. Each method has its pros/cons for me, I just find the hitch rack fits my needs the best for how I use my truck and where I live.

I like that set up a lot, but that tire looks really close to the cab. Could just be the camera angle

I adjusted it since those photos were taken, both photos were taken the same day after installation. The tire now is about an inch off the cab. Very happy with this setup after having it for a month or so.

I use a hitch rack primarily. I like the option of having it in the bed under the cap though.
