That stuff is all ~45 years old. Years ago, maybe 20, when my dad was having a cleanout, he said take this if you want it, now. I though one day, if I ever have a kid.....

That was one shoebox, I have 4 more. Some of the Dinkys are way cooler than the Corgis.

    I stand corrected.
I will admit, I missed it.
    Either way it’s done.

I don’t click on any of your shit. I refuse on principal.
    It’s you for fucks sake!!!
I’m just against your abhorrent behavior publicly is all.
Since this piece of shit thread has been relegated to the bowels of TW, via the OP’s disgusting use of shelf space and the rest of us TW detritus all “shop” here.....meh, probably pretty safe to say we are thick enough skinned.
Glad your back Scott. Fucking shit hole isn’t the same without you.

That’s a great dad feeling. Great daddery at play here. Toys are meant to be played with and appreciated regardless of their age.

I gave my son a 30 gallon Rubbermaid tub of Legos going back to the late ‘70s. When he turned 19 we gave it to my nephews (he probably isn’t having kids - his choice) after adding to it. They added it to their dad’s 20 gallon tub.

50 gallons is a shitload of Legos, FYI.

I also picked up mine at that time. Besides super old only red and white stuff, one of the first blue space series with minifigs, and also early Technic tractor. Not sure if you've been watching the Lego thread, but we've been mining for old instructions. The came my wife's and her brothers. all 10 years after my peak. Holy shit. Police stations, fire stations, castles, pirate ships, lots of space stuff. All with no instructions. I has to research it all forensically to determine what bit of kits we had. Then grandma started piling it on. Then I got the Aston Martin for Christmas, And I got her the Saturn V for her birthday (she was a space camp geek).

Fast forward, it's been both therapeutic for me during some serious shit times, and an obvious bonding bonanza with the boy. You can't truly appreciate what a cognitive candy store Lego is until you see your kid mastering more and more concepts, counting, spatial, referring to instructions, force, friction, perspective, problem solving, team work.

But shit gets real when you shift from exhuming instructions from the internet to researching for practical management and storage solutions that work for both 3 yo and adult.

It's gotten to the point where I free styled a blown boxer engine for a dune buggy using multiple minifig legs as the block, heads, and intake.
