Ha, make an appointment now and you'll have an excuse to drive across the hottest part of the country during the hottest time of year with brand new gears. I'd wait for cooler seasons. SoCal in the fall is damn near perfect weather. :)

That just means the heat cycles quicker haha. Im still overseas but might make an appointment for the end of the year .. idk how long this group buy will last.. but even so, at full price (1950) still aint bad either to be honest

The amount you'll be spending on gas + the cost of the gears will probably equate to how much it would cost if you just got them done in TX.

I planned on a road trip to the west coast anyways. It was like a bonus . Finding a decent shop here is rough without paying way more. This shop knows their tacomas and have nothing but good reviews from what i see

Dang. Sorry they didn't install yours. I asked politely before they put my truck on the lift if I could see everything prior to then re-installing on the truck and took some pictures. I'm super picky about certain things I don't get to visibly see on a day to day basis so I wanted to make sure the bushing and seals I brought were going in. Specially the ECG bushing.

I'm glad you got yours put in. Maybe I should have been more adamant about mine and not fully trusting that they would do it. I took them at face value.

I spoke with Miguel's brother and told him I brought Toyota factory seals and that they were on the passenger seat. They weren't installed...in hind sight, and advice to others, talk to the guys doing the work, not the admin staff.

On a side note, if anyone needs factory seals, I'll sell them at a reduced rate.

Got my gears done today. Will do all the checks over the course of the next 500 miles. Crossing my fingers everything was done correctly. I was there for about 4 hours, but the person before me got his done in about 2.

Even then, make sure. I also told Carlos Jr where all the parts were and he still forgot.

Well, not sure I have anything positive to say about the quality of work so far. Checked the rear differential this afternoon and it's leaking. What a headache and seriously frustrating! I truly appreciate the effort from Miguel to make everything right, I believe the customer service is there. 20200723_175856.jpg 20200723_175836.jpg

Wipe it and drive more, see if it’s actually seeping

Try re-torqueing the bolts, Worth a shot.

Going to let them handle it. I'm going to be bringing it next Wednesday anyway for an ECGS bushing install.

I had some seeping on the rear diff but after wiping and driving some more, it went away. If it persists they will help you out though

Anyone notice imbalanced humming at certain speeds, or is that normal? It is barely noticeable, but I hear/feel it at around 60 mph and about 2k rpm.
