I'm sooo dumb...never actually measured the spacer lift that the truck had a la dealership prior to me eyeing and buying. Always thought it was a 3in spacer.

So my BiL was really worried that I was dropping the front end with the coilovers being setup for ~2.5 inches higher than stock and I'd really be stink bugging in.

Turns out the spacer measures just at or below 2 inches! Haha

Not yet. That's happening Aug 15th.

I'm basically building the cap part of the GFC using the DIY GFC thread and then mounting a new roofnest sparrow xl on top of it.

I went up FPK back in March with others from this thread when my truck was a week old (I did take the Predator steps off beforehand). I think we went up the medium path. I would definitely recommend going with someone who knows the path and can spot you, it can get pretty hairy for a newbie like myself.

You're probably correct. I don't recall what the actual boundaries were and it was a LOT smaller then and I was much younger.

When I first moved there the only thing between the Dam Site in Lake Jackson and I-95 in Dumfries were General Stores (Russell's and Samsky's), the fire station and a couple of churches. It was great place to grow up though, plenty of trails to ride motorcycles, and a gold mine for metal detecting.

Earlier this year I checked off one of my bucket list items by buying the Tacoma. Just checked another one off and bought a welder (Titanium 170A). I'll be running a 220 V circuit in my garage today to get it plugged in and then should be ready to start.

QUESTION: For those of you who weld, is there a place around here you can get scrap metal to practice on? If not, what do you recommend buying to practice on?
