What makes you think it’s a blown head gasket?

It is an 06, seems to be a thing for 05/06. Mine also has 225k miles. Kinda got spooked when it happened because how many others there are with the problem

When what happened? Are you loosing coolant? Running hot? White smoke from exhaust?

Interesting, have you done a pressure check on the coolant system? Top it off and do a pressure check, you’ll either visually see a leak of coolant or if you lose pressure without a visual leak it’s likely a head gasket failure.

I took it into Toyota for its appointment at 1pm, they said they would have an update around 5. Do y’all really think they need 4 hours to look over the cooling system or are the just bullshitin around?

To properly diagnose 2-3 hours wouldn’t be unheard of, it takes all of 5 minutes to do a coolant system pressure test and check for obvious leaks.

Water pump and thermostat. Big relief it’s not the head gasket
