You made me think of a "True Story" time. My brother and I were out partying in Houston many, many years ago. He was upstairs playing pool, and I was downstairs drinking and dancing. It was rolling on around midnight, and I went up stairs to see if he's ready to leave. Needless to say, he's trading saliva with this "2 bagger" chick. I got him away and told him your drunk, that girls been beat by the ugly tree, but he wouldn't listen. Now don't judge me on this, it's story time. He made a date with her the next day to drive down to the beach. The next morning, I again told him don't go, you'll be sorry. He was gone about 2 hours. The rest of this story is him telling me what happened. When he arrived at her home, he knocked on the door, and told me he dam near jumped off the porch when she answered. But he was there, so he had to go inside when she invited him in. He told me his mind was racing 100mph trying to think of a way out. She asked him if he wanted something to drink, and he told her yes, when she left the living room to walk down to the kitchen, he made his break. Out the front door, into the 69 Cutlass, and away he went. He told me next time we were out and he pulled a stunt like that, to hit him upside the head. Now I felt sorry for the girl, because after all he did make a date with her for the beach. But many of us are were what I'd call "Assholes" when we're young, and don't think of other peoples feelings.

mine was all in the same night. Horror. Roommate reminded me of how many branches she hit on that tree.

 

When I was 18, I used to drive around the loop 610 in Houston. Over by the Ship Channel the Paper Mills Smelled like Roadkill over there, and it was always smoggy and stinkin. Beaumont Texas smells pretty bad too. You get out around some sour gas oil fields and that shit will burn the hair out of your nose.

It doesn't get that cold here. That said, I am warm any time that I am moving. Sitting at a fucking desk with a/c blowing? I gotta wear layers all damn year. It's nutz.

Peeps here are obsessed with a/c. It doesn't go below 25F or above the low 90s for short bursts, but the fucking a/c is on 24-fucking-7.

 

Similar situation myself. Taught me a lesson about meeting and snogging in the dark.

 

Yeah i guess i think more of our winters where it gets below -40 often. If i was somewhere that warm i could rock shorts all year i bet.
