Alberta is beautiful though. We did a motocamping tour around and out to the buffalo jump.

Although, the fam had an epic vaca fuck up back in 08 or 09. We were heading to Cancun over Presidents Day. There was a chance of ice in DFW, so flights were getting cancelled. American routed us to Calgary where we didn't have our carry-ons. We're all in beach clothes including our barely out of strollers daughters. Seeing those monster jack rabbits walking to Hooters in the snow was memorable. We missed that flight, then Air Canada routed us to Toronto, then Montreal. We spent 36hrs bouncing around. It was a mess, but eventually made it to the cervesas.

That does sound like a crazy bounce around. Weird they sent you all the way across the country and then down to mexico.

I see those jackrabbits running through the neighborhood and all i can wonder is what they would taste like in a stew. Grew up eating cottontails back home but we disnt have those big things. Wife wont let me try to shoot rabbits with the bow in the yard. Figures the cops with come or some bullshit haha

Wait. Wait a damn moment. When I first joined this thread, I was told being able to give hummers was a requirement.

    What are you telling me.

    You look like Steve Bolze.

My wife was DETERMINED to get to MX. Montreal was our last hope though. If that went sideways, we were going to ask to get routed to PA and see the folks.

I swear that I saw one with horns.

That'd keep you going for a few days. Hahaha!

A lot of people scoff about alien abductions but I can’t count the number of times my dates would go to use the bathroom and vanish without a trace.

well I'm pretty sure that was 1975, when I had my first job out of high school. My dad got me the job and I lived in a 20 ft camping trailer on the company property. Got pretty boring sitting there, so I'd get out and just drive around. Houston was pretty cool back then. All the Hippies lived in Montrose, and we'd cruise down to Tower Records. Fucking shame that place went out of business. Great place to meet people, and chicks. Wish we'd been able to get some of the "Smoke" these kids are getting today, back then. Most of our crap came straight out of Mexico. Kinda like drinking near beer. But every now and then some shit would drift in from California, those were the good ole days.

There are some great rides. This one makes the Tail of the Dragon look silly:

But, the Kootenays were really epic.
