to be clear, it's minor and not what mid & long travel setup guys would refer to as bucking. I'm just into the details, and i run the truck light with little added weight. but it is noticeable on the highway. i run very hard 30" E tires and that exaggerates it.

Ah ok, I see now. I thought that's how your truck was sitting! Some taller bump stops would benefit you in a big way, especially if you off road.

I used the Stealth flip kit and superbumps, bounched off of them a few times already, but they are nice and cushy.

Nice looking truck by the way!

You’ll love the Super Bumps from Wheeler’s. It’s gotten pricier but definitely softens up bottoming out

i have 100lb sliders and some stereo in the cab, and 80lbs of sand bags... poor man's traction bar or something like that. if i have anything more in the back it's a very smooth ride. i think you'll be fine.

I have no experience with Timbrens. Heard nothing but good things about the Super Bumps that I had to try them. Noticeable difference

So are they saying that these are the same height as the factory ones? They take into account the added 1/2” so they make their bumps 1/2” shorter? To match the factory height?

    I just re-read it :anonymous:

That statement is just replicating the progressiveness of our stock bump stops

Edit: just saw what’s actually going on.

I have the same rear Leaf pack and shocks as you @Tacoclifford and the superbumps with ubolt flip kit is perfect for the setup. They bump to about 1/2” of bottoming out The shock. Doesn’t get much closer than that.

the pictures isn’t ride height. Iv got a steep hill on the side of my driveway. I parked with the passanger front tire on the hill and the rest of the truck on the flat driveway so that I can get the drivers rear as close to bottomed out as possible. The picture is with the drivers rear tire crammed into the wheel well. Iv got the same up travel as you

HI ex GM engineer that worked on the Zr2 race program- you never want the shock to stop first. this will definitely shorten the lift of those shocks. most REAR tacoma lifts are for 2inchs of rear lift with 3 up front to level the truck. with that you should be using the 2-3 inches of rear lift shocks (fox PN-985-26-117) below i listed the fox shocks dimensions. i would not sell a customer a 118 unless they had a block on top of a +2 spring. or a extra large bump stop. but even the super bumps are designed to eventually compress to stock bump height under hard enough hit (if not its limiting designed travel) im on a custom kit we do for long travel. i have 14.3 inches of rear travel using an icon 2.5 inch piggyback shocks made for a 6in lifted f250 re-vavled to my spec. that compressed WITH full axle articulation (the shock will compress more on one side bc its further out then the bump stop and the axle is using the bump stop as a fulcrum) im about .5inches away from fully compressing that shock.

    2-3inches
    Extended 23.800
    Compressed 14.700
    Travel 9.100

    3-5
    Extended 24.800
    Compressed 15.200
    Travel 9.600

the 118 is actually a good shock for the Dakar packs on our trucks. Just need to bump it properly. The superbumps on a ubolt flip kit do that.
