Exactly, why wouldn’t you just order direct from the source? You would think it would make the most sense to send your money directly to the person producing a product to both support them and cause you’re pretty much guaranteed they won’t jeopardize their reputation. Which has proven to be good.

Not an expert by any means but the way I always did customer service was treating others the way I want to be treated. I made minimum wage too.

Sometimes I would put all the food in boxes and then hand it to the customer just for them to want bags instead. So I would transfer the food in mini boxes then put in a bag. I would ask what they wanted in the beginning to but people change their minds. Happened a shit ton per day. Took at least 5 minutes each time but it was okay, I tried my best to understand.

Sometimes people would complete an order all boxed up ready to go, then they change their mind and reorder, that took at least 20 minutes and it happened multiple times per day. Some people never even said thank you after all this.

In an 8 hour shift these little requests probably ate up more than an hour or two per day. I could've told these people too bad too late easily but I didn't. The tip money wasnt really worth it because I could've served 2 other customers while I was solving problems for 1 and made more tip from 3 customers vs 1 complimated customer.

Again, I'm no expert by far but in my opinion if someone doesnt want to deal with these little things, they shouldn't start a business where the main component is customer service.

I agree 100%. But how often are his is in stock? Currently Meso’s site says out of stock. Some people see them “in stock” on another site and grab them. I can’t blame them. But, it sounds like they either didn’t actually have them or were BSing about the shipping maybe. Who knows? I just hope that he gets his stuff.

I’m not particular when it comes to ordering, but if I pay for it I do expect it in a timely manner (which I think is a fair expectation... But things can happen and I understand that). COVID or not, I’ve had plenty of stuff delivered on time where a lot of people think that’s a cop out but it’s actually for the most part moving stuff okay unless it’s from outside the US maybe.

Fair enough, I understand both sides of this and yes Meso is frequently sold out of stuff.

So did the tracking number disappear or was it "Scout's Honor" that they shipped it?

He was probably wanting you to send it postal (USPS) Shipments from the US to Canada through UPS and FedEx get charged extra brokerage fees by UPS and FedEx which can get quite expensive.

Wrong, the USPS won’t even talk to the recipient they will only talk to the seller and file lost package claims for the person or company that actually paid for the postage.

This. Went through something similar with an Alpine vendor last year (brick and mortar). The CD player stopped working in 3 days and they tried to play dumb saying that since I installed it myself I must have done it wrong and it's between me and Alpine..and they'd love to help but no more of that radio in stock to swap, nor can they get any.

2 days later I had my wife call act like she was radio shopping and what do you know, they have it in stock. I then just called Alpine who told me an Alpine dealer is obligated by their deal to return the radio at least for a swap in 90 days of purchase..the Alpine rep was fine to deal with, I even suggested they might want to reach out to the shop because they're at best not doing what they should as a dealer because they're unaware, at worst because they don't want to do it. Alpine definitely agreed and wanted to pursue the shop about the issue and told me they have the ability to drop them as an authorized dealer if they don't represent the brand well.

@MESO himself was saying in another thread that Tacoma Beast was a dealer and was ok to do business with. (Example of reason to go with dealer instead of Meso direct)

As a consumer that has been ripped off a few times in online transactions, it's perfectly natural for someone like OP to advise others as to the dangers of dealing with a vendor that dropped the ball. (Witness @eledobleu or @mahaloTaco as recent examples)

OP thanks for the heads up.

^^ See what I mean! You gotta respect the care for customers. That’s the way business should be. I know Meso wants better service for his customers.

I ordered from Running for tacos as I thought I’d spread a little money around. Its good for the economy.
Running for Tacos failed to deliver the product and failed even worse on the service/ communication side.

Meso is obviously a sharp guy as he reached out to me and sold me a kit directly. No issues great communication and no issues getting the product shipped to me . Received it last night and I ordered the Red stop/start button as well. I am impressed with the quality of the Meso Customs products so I will order more stuff in the future like his tail light kit next.

    thank you Meso!
