Metal roof and AUTHENTIC Juniper wood siding here. Gotta paint every 10 years but Vinyl gets brittle in 3 about the same timespan as hailstorms.
My Dad went with high end Vinyl coated wood textured aluminum against my recommendation. Insurance didn't cover total replacement costs so he cashed the check and lives with dents pissing him off. HOA gonna sue him.:eek:Maintenance free my arse.

    That's just cringeworthy:eek:
Might as well stack firewood against the house and pray termites aren't hungry.
Rip it all out, pavers or pour concrete for resale insurance.

I’m thinking of following in my uncle’s footsteps. Years ago he saw a billboard...”Drink Canada Dry” and headed north to give it his best shot.

Morning Whatever people... Busy weekend ahead as this is the last weekend before we close on the house. Starting to pack up the trailer and have a few friends stopping by to pick up things. Dropping our kitty off at a friends later to spend the next couple weeks hopefully unstressed and spoiled in our absence..oh and the bank fucked up the cashiers check yesterday and we have to return for them to redo it :frusty:

You'll have to give me a few weeks to share because I'm only aware of 1 photo and pretty sure it's packed somewhere.
I had thought the same thing but I guess we'll see which poll we end up in or are forgotten from. You may be banned...

That's a bummer but at least the damage isn't too horrible. My mom and stepdad have had car windows busted out from hail
With your hearing and memory lately are you sure that's today?:boink:

    Happy birthday to her:D
Why would you have an inlaid wooden patio and not raised?

Nice. Are you going to tackle pouring a slab or another idea?

I'm too lazy to pour concrete. I love the look of those really large pavers that are like 2x2 where you keep them separated with some pea gravel.

That’s what we will be doing here sometime next year! The back patio is 8x8 and needs extended but the shitter tube runs right under it so can’t go pure concrete.

Bummer. Yeah we have the craziest leech lines at the new house that I'll need to map out so I don't accidentally plant anything on it. Who the hell runs leech lines like 200ft out!?

Lack of prior propper planning insures piss poor performance:D
Looks like pavers and pea gravel over underground water, sewer and electric runs.
Beats raising the house unless you live in a flood zone.:boink:
I've been waiting on FEMA funds since 2004 to raise my home to new federally mandated base flood elevation.
Hurricane clean up gets old fast living 6' above sea level with 9' storm surges.
