Had these laying around the house for awhile...I bought them to mount some brooms in the garage but ended up using another system. I was going to toss them away but thought they would be perfect for a Mini Mag Lite!

You can get them at OSH for under $3

First I painted them black to they wouldn't get look so "industrial" in the Tacoma :D

    primer...

    ...then paint

    Items needed to mount it
    MiniMagLite7_0f0fdd034ccf79ee0b8749a750650c01c53cbed3.jpg

Added shrink tubing to the clips so they will not scratch the Mag Lite

I decided to mount the Mag Lite in the center console lid. The interior piece is very easy to remove. Just 5 screws is holding it in.

Mock the position of your Mag Lite and mark your mounting spots. Then drill 2 small holes.

Reinstall in the truck and voilà!

That's a great idea putting it under the lid like that, might just have to do this one for my mini Surefire.

    Nice work!

Nice it's just like the one I saw about 3 yrs ago.

But FYI, Maglite actually makes plastic clips for the AA mags, just like the bigger Mags.

It holds it in well. The shrink tubing gives it a little grip but you can also press in and pull out the clips to adjust them for thickness.

    Thanks yo!

    Great minds think alike!

I have searched for the Mini Mag Lite clips but never could find them. Probably need to order them online.

I found them at my local Ace Hardware store. But yeah Ebay or Amazon might carry them.

I'm really digging the mods that have been posted lately. They all seem to be low budget/ highly functional.

As for having a gun all the time - I generally don't expect any trouble, thats why I carry a pistol. If I know there might be trouble I'll make sure and get my rifle at the ready. Otherwise, it and the loaded spare mags stay under the back seat. I don't go looking for trouble - but I plan to answer accordingly when other people do.

I dig the ipod mount. My luck though I'd put something in the console that is just too tall and smash the face of my ipod my I close it.

Yeah, do you keep an empty fire extinguisher in your house. It not about being in bad areas, it is simply just being ready for anything.

Canadians must think we are a bunch of cowboys or something... That is a sweet gun mount. I am going to copy that for sure.
