Hi, thank you so much for reading this post, have an opportunity to pick up some king rear shocks for a crazy good price, but need to know that they will fit, the seller states that they will however I have been unable to find anything online saying they will and I am brand new to trucks and suspension. However they are for an FJ, Part number is 25001-125 but I have seen some threads that suggest it is possible to use FJ shocks on our Tacos. Please let me know if I can make these work, thank you so much in advance. Also assuming they can work, will they be a good fit for me? My previous option was going to be the bilstein 5160 rear shocks. My Tacoma is a '13 DCSB TRD Sport.

I’m 90% sure they fit but the spring rates and lengths are different. I believe FJ’s come stock with 14” coils, 700lbs springs vs 13/650 for Tacoma. I’m sure it’s been covered in this forum, try searching again.

Also this is specific to the rears, not the fronts, thanks!

Fjs are 4 link rears with coils. Tacos are leaf sprung. I would assume king would have valved them differently. The frame rail is different so you may have to make your own resi mounts.

My bad, totally missed the REARS part. Measure eye to eye, check the stroke and mounting.

Yeah figured the mounting would be different as well as the valving, I would be getting them for $250 for the pair, do you think it would be worth getting custom valving on them? Thank you again so much for taking your time to answer!

Here is the rear of my FJ with Icons. They have to stuff the resi way rearward.

For $250 you can resell them easily. I would buy them and run them, if you dont like them then have accutune revalve them.

Not sure. They may have a longer hose than a taco shock. But to me that would only be a minor issue as its not hard to fab up a resi mount.

Yeah a longer length wouldn't be a problem at all, just want to make sure they will be a good fit for me, tight on cash at the moment haha.

Wanted to update the thread for anyone who is interested, spoke with King today and I can simply buy a new rod end, spherical bearing, snap ring and spacer and thread it right on to the FJ shocks and mount it onto the Tacoma

    25005-001 Lower Rod End
    b1058 Spherical Bearing
    cr2251 snap ring
    25016-006 spacer
