I see one thing potentially wrong with your pictures.
Have you let the OpenFlash Manager update? I am on version 1.54.0 (your picture shows 1.49)

EDIT - file name looks ok, mine didn't say "handheld version" but it's the folder name

Yes, I did let the software update. It's take awhile to update every time i open the manager.

If possible, can you please share me your OpenFlash Manager or where can i download it?

 

It should do it automatically, BUT, if for some reason it's not
I would suggest deleting OFM from your computer and re-download

Does disconnecting battery reset tune? Seems to run different, I reflashed just to make sure I was still tuned

 

My Manager is from Ovtune (SetupOVTune Handheld Manager.exe) and it can't get update to 1.54.

I want to try the OpenFlash Manager to see if any different, but i couldn't find the file.

My original flash tool file is from OVTUNE as well, but it auto-updates from OpenFlash (not OVTUNE)
The handhelds were sourced by OVTUNE from OpenFlash
The troubleshooting page I referenced is from the manufacturer and outlines all the things that can go wrong

Did you try following them?
All the usual standard suggestions apply (turn off anti-virus, turn off defender, don't use virtual machine, use usb 2.0, not 3, etc)

Thanks for the Link.
I re-downloaded and re-installed the file on that link and still get update up to to 1.49.
The only thing is all my machine are usb 3.0. I tried with a 2.0 USB powered hub and no luck. Not sure if that's the case. But the device is connected to the PC and i can see vehicle info.

Sounds like there is something on your computer preventing it.

Worst case, I suppose you could email OpenFlash and see if they'll just send you the file, but still think there is something blocking it on your end.

Seeing as you are getting 1.49, and not oven 1.50, 1.51, 1.52, etc. Mine updated through all these versions since Nov 2018 each time I plugged it in my computer, suggesting yours has never updated since the original file, with your computer settings.

I did read the instruction many time. And also read from the link above.

- I have a real Windows 10 computer, not a virtual machine.
- I added (C:\OVTune) exclusion folder in Windows Security. Also tried to turned them all off included firewall.
- Run as Administrator
- Tried to installed Openflash Manager v1 1.49 from the link. It's say my tablet is not a pro.
- Tried both on desktop and laptop.

My Handheld Tuner is an Accessory Flash Kit owner. Not the regular one.

 

Maybe it is something different with the accessory Kit.
Then all the above may not apply! Sorry.

Does the accessory kit use .bin files?

I don't know anything about the accessory kit, so now I'm really no help!

What year is your truck?

I don't know anything about the handheld programmers, but I did remember seeing this.

 

My truck is 2017.

Paid this for 359$ on Labor Day last year, waiting for 2.0 to released. Now we got the tunes, but it's not working.

I wonder if others Handheld - Flash Kit owners get this to work? Or they got refunded?

 

I believe a large majority exchanged them for the regular tuning kit. There are a few handhelds out there though.

 

Im a HH user 04b03, didnt ahve any issues with uploading the .bin files to handheld and flashing it. Did you have the 04b04 TSB done recently?? because i read somewhere that if you already read the ECU with the handheld and wanted to TSB, then you should rollback to stock tune then do the ECU reading again. Or more probably it seems more like a software issue there.

 

It seems 04B04 ECU on final 2.0 is cursed.
I would go back to one of the 2.0 betas that worked well for you.

I am on 04B04 since day one with Ovtune. Flash Kit - Handheld - vF

 

Pretty sure most if not all of the 2018+ vehicle owners traded in. I don't think the kinks have been worked out for the handhelds on vehicles 2018 or newer. With a '17, your challenge must be different.

PS, I did the same thing; bought during the sale but ultimately got a refund (cancelled the order) a few months ago.

 

I feel stupid to wait that long. And disappointing that Ovtune don't even return my email.
