If you ever wondered whether or not a Cub Cadet XT1 with a 42" deck fits in the bed of a 3rd Gen Tacoma DCSB -- wonder no more. It does.

    Pics for posterity:

    this and that...
looks good! if i put anything in the bed thats pretty close to the back window i like to throw this thing called a sub skate back there. i know its silly and its a kids item but i used it when i bought my quads home and gave me some sort of piece of mind from the front tapping against the glass lol.

Thanks for the tip. Didn't even think about that. Not an issue with the Cub, since it's actually in there snug against the rear of the bed, but useful to keep in mind if I find some ATVs for the cabin later.

Long or short bed? (Gen 2 guy here, is that even a "thang" in Gen 3's?)

Oh yeah, short bed. I'll edit the main post to include that.

I've got a 42'' husqvarna lawn tractor that just fits to....had to bring to my brothers house after his mower is still in the shop. I originally picked up the lawn tractor in my tundra.

Doesn't look like the bed would actually close properly, does it?

It's too big to close the tailgate. I just hauled it with the tailgate down. 60 miles of highway and interstate with a few small mountains. No issues.
