Looks like a big chunk got smashed in their driveway and some of the debris came into ours.

Dent wasn't there this morning when we left to go test drive a RAV4 for the wife-to-be, and I've seen the kid in question throwing shit around and smashing his scooter etc.

That looks like a clean, round something made that ding. Too clean looking to be a broken piece of concrete.

No, look at the scratches that surround it. A chunk of concrete with a rock in the middle could do that.

12 x 20 shed. The old pump house fell square thew fuck apart, so I built this with the help of my friend Craig from Naples. PT lumber is crazy expensive now, that first load of wood.....$1200. WTF. Several loads later, I still need to finish the roof, shingles, drip edge, roof vent. Barn doors on one end, regular door on the other, 2 windows on the sides.

Ok question for everyone. I have a non-insulated attached garage. the ceiling is not insulated (attic space), exterior walls are not insulated, garage door is insulated and walls shared with the house are insulated.

I have a hallway closet that shares a wall with the garage that is directly above my storage room where my HVAC is at. I am considering cutting a hole in the floor of the closet, boxing it out, drywall, trim and insulate to finish etc so that I can run a flexible duct and put a register on the wall in the garage. This way in the summer if I am working in the garage I could have at least some cool air being pumped into the garage. Then in winter months have it closed off with damper.

Thoughts? it's a large garage, I don't expect it to ice out the space, but at least make it somewhat more bearable

I think you'd overtax the living hell out of your AC. Sounds like you'd be better off with a mini split or some fans.

If you do this then you will be pushing air from inside your house and in turn the return in the house will create a negative pressure inside your house which will pull in hot air from the outside into your house. you would have to balance the intake and exhaust in your garage to do this and would be best to do a dedicated ductless unit in the garage which is what i am considering since my garage has been reaching 90F+ over the past week.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. I did put ceiling fans in the garage which has helped slightly.

I haven't heard about that brand. I would pick either DeWalt or milwaukee for those deck jobs. Kobalt gun is nice since it has 24v but shut down and led flashing issues.

If you really need AC in the garage, get a separate HVAC. Call a HVAC company and get an quote for it. A guy will give you the options such as HVAC, or wall mounted unit, etc. If you have a window in the garage, get a window unit instead which is cheaper, the window units can be sold at any stores such as Lowes, WalMart, etc. If you have a two car garage, then 10K BTU AC window unit should be fine. If no window(s), then get an unit like this: https://www.mitsubishicomfort.com/products/indoor-units/wall-mounted-heating-and-cooling

Sounds like u figured it out :)
It’s generally a good idea keep the living envelope completely sealed from the garage lol they’re a some nasty stuff in there, even if it is just the supply
insulate then cut a hole for a window ac or do it right and put in a minisplit
