Cool! That’s pretty interesting. It was in a pile with other automation stuff, any idea what this did?

Why does the perforated back make it cheap? Seems pretty ingenious, makes it easy to mount stuff.

I never say "I'm the best" or anything like that. I'm realistic and humble. Why do you think I talk to you lot and take the blows y'all dish out with stride. Because I'm not a snowflake who needs to be pampered.

My team that I run at work talk freely to me. If something's fucked they tell me that it's fucked. And yes we give each other shit all the time. Hell even my secretary gives me shit lol. My GF (future wife) gives me shit that you all can't compare to. Lol

Guh gross. Here's a trade secret for you ... Allen Bradley is the MOST overpriced industrial electrical parts supplier out there. Hands down without question don't ever buy anything from them that isn't a PLC, that's the only thing they make that's worth anything and that's only because so much of USA industry uses Rockwell Automation it's impossible to get away from.. And they're almost exclusively American. No one in the rest of the civilized world will buy their stuff. That light combo (labeled pump one for instance) could be like 85 bucks from someone like IDEC for the bulb the IP68 rated lens. Allen Bradley is gunna gouge you for more like 200

That being said if you pay close attention about 90% of that panels innards is Allen Bradley shit so that's a big red flag that came from a govt funded facility. And it's all 120v control logic, there's no real power going through that panel... 3 ice cube relays and those 2 blue boxes on the left look like "lead/lag" relays which are used for automatically switching which motor kicks on first. Since it's in a rain proof enclosure it's most likely an outdoor alarm panel for a pumping station either at a waste treatment place or storm drain runoff holding station, something like that

That's exactly why, the 'ease' of mounting things removes from the 'exclusive' feeling the customer is getting. If it looks like anyone could build it the customer isn't willing to pay as much. I've found in this industry something that works but doesn't "look pretty" is worth WAY less than something that both does the same job and is clean and sharp on the inside
