2020 Formula 1 Season Paddock

Staying away from the 'rona zone. I guess it doesn't make economical sense to come over just for Canada.

This is turning into a very interesting year.

 

That is really cool. It’s amazing how far safety has come. In the olde days it was considered safer to be ejected or jump from the car in the event of a crash!!

I wander how much it costs to produce one of those seats... $100k? At a random guess...

To be the next rona central. 25% plus all the staff and track crew is still a hella lot of people to be in one place and then disperse back to where they came from...

 

Imagine how much the spine must compress in an accident! It’s insane how much g-force abuse these drivers take when everything is going correctly.

I imagine these cars would be near impossible to drive without the Hans device Or the aero/helmet support they have over their shoulders stopping their heads from going side to side...

 

Is this the original Season line up? If so the Canada race is not alongside USA/Mexico/Brazil... I’m guessing Canada isn’t happening because of time and logistics more than anything...

 

Or going forwards, there is a tremendous force just from taking their foot off the gas let alone downshifting. The fact they have to do neck exercises to compensate for that is nuts

 

Totally, Lando admitted that his recent chest pains was due to him getting beaten up by the car and causing bruising. I think it was also due to the seat not fitting him correctly as he’s put some weight on...

My memory of Lotus being green and gold stems from playing on my dads scalextric Set with this beauty... but as @ryanjboutin pointed out the colour scheme now is all about the sponsor...

 

this is why i follow the show. like the racing but the rest of the show is so entertaining. Perez may not have found the F1 career he wanted but he's created value like a bigtime pro.

 

Green and yellow, not green and gold. I have to admit I liked the black/gold and red/white/gold JPS color schemes quite a bit at the time, but looking back I like the old colors the best.
