Here are our latest fosters. We have them for 2 weeks, they will be available for adoption around the second week of August. Flint (6 weeks) is the tabby and Pepper (7 weeks) is the gray kitten. Both are affectionate and love to cuddle and purr.

I would literally take in every cat I could if I had a farm... good thing I don't. The food bill would be outrageous! Luckily I also have enough strength to say no and think rationally when I see a cat that needs a home.

You have a good eye, Pepper is quite the rascal but on the flip side he is very kind and loves to be held.

We have had the kittens about 36 hours since taking them from the shelter. We are now in the period where health issues start to become apparent. Little Pepper is displaying lethargy, loss of appetite and diarrhea. We will take him back to the shelter clinic tomorrow to have him tested, get him hydration fluids via IV, and diarrhea meds. This is the drama period where we work with the shelter to get the kittens healthy and ready for adoption. Hopefully we will see a turnaround this week.

Flint (the tabby) is doing well, has a good appetite but is a bit lethargic so will have him tested as well.

Hoping for the best and working through the next couple of days to get these little one well.

Any of y'all's cats speak in a weird "native toung" consisting of weird vocal noises to other cats they're around for a while?

I believe my cat has developed a language it uses to communicate with it's kittens, not just meow...

She has never really actually meowed to me except when I have food or supprise her with my presence

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Our newest adoption, a 10 yr old female, makes a lot of throaty sounds and grunts, and meows softly. She hasn't been a mom, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were some kind of maternal communication. She calls her toys like they're babies and moves them around the house as she pleases.

Same here. Between our own cats, fosters, and "visitors" we have 22 in the house right now.

We're on Petsmart's Christmas card list....

Our cat hates other cates so she avoids them like the plague, so no invite to if she talks to them.

With us however she is chatty as fuck. We can have full conversations with her. Just back and forth. Not a lot of different “words” exactly, but she talks and talks when she wants stuff or we talk back to her.
