Haha that's cause I wiped most of the hair up just before taking that pic.

A couple days ago my lady bought me a swiffer duster for the truck. I thought it was silly at first, but after using it I actually love it. It works far better than I expected to to pick up dog hair and dust from the trim.

Yep love those things but unfortunately they can’t keep up with my trucks hard life.
Day 1: It got delivered on a barge and was covered from grille to tow in salt. (Exterior abused)
Day 2: It went for its first drive with 2 x yellow labs (Interior abused)
Day 3: It went for a long off road drive at 10,000 ft elevation round the back side of a volcano with red cinder dust which gets everywhere! (Interior and exterior abused)

What is the best thing for cleaning the dash and door trims? I think i need a wet based cleaner as a general wipe/swiffer does not cut it...

I have used this glass cleaner on all interior surfaces in my cars for years. It works great and doesn't hurt anything. It doesn't really do anything to protect though so I follow with 303 protectant. This does seem to attract dog hair, but I haven't found anything that doesn't.

I'm no detailer though, and I am always open to new ideas.

Thanks! Never thought of using glass cleaner. It always gets on the dash anyway! Will look into it, cheers!

I never would have thought of it either. I got some body work done on a car at a buddy shop years ago. Talking with him and that's what he used on everything in the car. Been using it ever since. Best part, it's dirt cheap.

Seems to be the all purpose cleaner. I did an apprenticeship as a photographer for a car magazine and they used glass cleaner to clean the body work too. Mainly because it’s what they had on hand and easy to transport vs a bucket and water. Not sure how good long term it would be for the body work though.

perhaps you should get more informed about the politics of California, and the politicians. There is a reason most every other state calls it that.

NO. BAD. BAAAAAAD. [rolls up newspaper]

Most glass cleaners contain ammonia which will dry out your vinyl eventually. I don't think there's a detailer out there that would recommend it. I could be wrong.

maybe a vinegar based glass cleaner would be better than ammonia based. I just use a general all purpose cleaner on sticky stuff if needed. Otherwise just 303

I don't see how this would dry out anything when followed by 303 right after.

I’m actually very well informed with California politics. Also have lived and visited other countries so have experienced other forms of societies. Left isn’t the same as communism. It’s not a matter of opinion. Facts are facts.

Back to Tacomas! Got my Meso Puddle lights that I’m going to try install this week. Stoked on that!
