Double sided gorilla tape

 

Yeah I used heavy duty velcro.

 

These are the replacement clips for the clips that always break taking out the little plastic fender liner. Exact and fit perfectly.

That's sweet but it doesn't appear it fits the 2nd gen Snorkel or Dobinson's

 

The drop down menu shows dobinson as an option. Menu could be worded differently. I ordered one.

TRD and in black. Thought about red but wanted it subtle.

Well had my first accident today.

15 year old learning to drive ran into me... I had a green arrow to turn at an intersection, he turned at the same time as me from across the intersection and came into my lane. Was an H3 with a cattle bumper out front. The H3 hardly took any damage and the poor Toyota came out the victim. What sucks is I'm gonna have to do the snorkel install again

Yeah thankfully. Not looking forward to dealing with insurance though. Called the police but they would not show up unless someone was injured or there was damage to property or road and no witnesses so its gonna be a good time if they try to lie about what happened.

 

Dash Cam for the win. I'm retired but I work for Liberty Mutual I can't stress enough about dash cams.

 

Yeah I'm a numbnuts, I had one in there for years, it finally dies and I never replaced it.

 

Well, his insurance should pay for it to be restored to pre-accident condition. Which means the body shop who does the work should reinstall the snorkel for you. Heck, they might even have to buy you a new one!

 

Happy to report that it will be 2 years this coming December since I installed my Dobinson's Snokel and couldn't be happier with it. It really has helped on trips to New Mexico traveling down fire roads behind a convoy of vehicles kicking up dust. I can't speak personally to going through extremely deep water as I did not fully seal up my factory air box, but if I did I know the snorkel would do its job keeping water out. My wife has also added a Dobinson's snorkel to her 4-Runner since I installed mine.

Yeah it is already getting interesting. Where they bounced off the rear quarter panel when he came back and hit me a 2nd time the dent went through the panel and into the bed so now the composite bed is splintered in several areas. The body shop said they're at least 4 grand. I guess the other parties insurance isn't happy about it so I am waiting to here back about whats happening.
