Yeah, an hour outside, an hour inside. Over did it yesterday, most of the day outside, kicked my butt.

just finished mowing. its Freakin HOT n HUMID.thats all for me outside till this evening. will work in the garden then.

Not a good afternoon for being outside.

 

I don't usually pay attention to the index. Seen you guys talking about and thought I'd check. Actual temps are bad enough I don’t need all that extra info. Usually go with "...its just hot". Just for S&G, it's 107° with an index of 114°.

 

Sitting at 92° , heat index of 91° and humidity is 16%

 

For us up here we are not “use to this”.
We vary rarely see this heat.
Create a lot of problems and serious health issues..
Not a good time right now.

Most definitely creates health issues. If you're on medication, read the label for reactions and side affects to sun exposure. Some things for most to think about is to limit exertion, slow down, extend work breaks. Drink cool water, don't gulp or slam it. Have a place/vehicle close by with ac already running. Adjust your start time. Best advice, don't go out in it if you don't absolutely have to especially if it's humid. You're natural evaporative cooling system doesn't work if your sweat is not evaporating. Limit/dilute sports drinks. Save the beer for after.

Yeah we have a job right now where it is 115* to 120* at times. Insane. The guys and the equipment are having issues

 

One thing I mostly see that gets people in trouble is ego/ignorance. They either think they can do just as much or don't know that they can't. Of course it all comes to fruition when they're sucking wind or face plant because they get super light headed. And that shit'll sneak up on anyone. The massive sweat and booming pulse/heart rate should tell them but they miss it totally.
