I see you posted that you have tried a THX tune awhile ago, How was it in comparison to the non THX?

The thx version feels more aggressive and stays in the higher rpm band. Non-thx has much smoother shift points but is a little more sluggish during acceleration. Both are great tunes it's really on driver preference.

I haven’t noticed any difference in the shifting at all, feels the exact same to me.

In previous tunes, the herky-jerkey was the TC unlocking and locking very quickly. I am convinced it is dependent on driving style (with no evidence), but it should be fairly trivial to tune out with VF once files are released. It should only take some minor changes to move it enough to prevent it from happening.

I didn’t like it (personal opinion). I wasn’t able to predict how the truck would react with the pedal input I was giving it. Like I could be cruising on the highway gave a slight bit of gas and baam truck started to scream. On other occasions slight pedal input traduced to slight trottle increase. It was unpredictable. I can’t wait to try the performance full otto (if it comes out).

That's just how it feels in my truck I'm sure the way I have mine set up has alot to do with how feels. I'm using reg/stock tunes and running alot of extra weight somewhere around 800lbs

Ding ding ding we have a winner.

Stock tune with shift points modified to this in vF tuner has by far been the most efficient tune for me so far. Small wonder you use less gas when you don’t need to floor it to get into the right gear.

Hey everyone. I just uninstalled and reinstalled vF for the recent updates. When I did so, I couldn't find any of the stock files (.bin) as options to open with credits...

I am assuming the uninstall deleted that folder, but I wanted to reach out here to see if any of y'all had any solutions before I send a zendesk ticket.

    Thanks.

They have moved from the root of the C drive into program files ->

“This version installs to the "program files" folder instead of the C drive
it also allows you to change the install folder if you want.“

If you can flash p5f files, there is a performance beta tune (19770) out there you could try. I don’t have it for a 2018 truck, but I’m sure someone would send it to you if you asked. It’s what I am currently running and I think it’s what you are looking for based on your recent complaints.

I don’t think they have released anything like that for the 2020 right?

It was a 2.0 beta released in September 2019.

I'm just going to wait for 2.0 performance to be released for VFT so I can boost ALT voltage for an AGM battery at the same time. Can anyone confirm if the 2.0 performance tune is running in "full otto" in normal driving in "D"? or is that just in tow mode? Yes I tried the search function. Theres so much jibber-jabber on these topics here that it can be alot of digging, and I've learned more here than anything on the VFT/OVT site.

So, this question is mainly for @Rafael@OVTune or @OVTune since I'm not sure if my emails are not getting through or if you guys are just crazy busy (which is fine) since my ticket has been open like a month and a half. All I want is to change alternator values, overall.

    1) Currently running 2.0, no issues, it's great. I bought the Vftuner add on awhile ago and it's set up with no issues. Can I "pull" the 2.0 tune into Vftuner and change the alternator values? Can't seem to find an answer. I know you (Matt) said you could send me the .vft files for 1.05, but I didn't hear back. I'd go back to 1.05 if I can get the Alternator voltage changed.

    2) If no to #1 (which I believe is the answer), I know you said that you could send me the 1.05 for VFT to change the alternator settings. Given that I know I'll have to wait, will I be able to get the 2.0 files for .vft without cost, or will that require the $390 Tune Pack? I originally bought Vftuner with the plan to avoid spending more $$$ on a Redarc charger, but if I need a tune pack for an editable 2.0 file, that wont really save me anything.

Just wanted to cover my bases if there were email issues, if you guys are crazy busy (which I'm sure you are) I'm not trying to come across as frustrated. Just want to get this alternator charging set up now that I have my 2nd battery installed finally.

I flashed Premium 33 Non THX yesterday and drove it today for 350 miles or so (without clearing LV or AT). Although it still shifts quicker than expected I feel it drives better than the Stock tire one. It holds the gears a little longer. On highway driving it tends to downshift with less pedal input than before but until the performance tune comes out I’m going to be using this one.

My truck is stock tire size but does have Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs All Terrain which are heavier than the normal tires these trucks come with from factory.

.vft files other than stock are not yet available for any auto transmissions. You will be able to pull 2.0 into vf tuner when released.

EDIT: I shouldn't speculate if you need to purchase the tune pack extra.
