    I'll get up there someday.

    Me, my old dog max and a friend drove up to the headwaters of the smith river one summer and then took forest roads all the way back to the highway just for something to do on our way back from the oregon coast.

    I always was hunting big steelhead when I was there. Never just went for a cruise.
    Started at the mouth and followed all the way to the beginning.
    She had never seen a bear and I had never seen the headwaters of ( I believe ) our only undammed river.

    Mission accomplished on both.
    Great day.
    Excellent way to spend a weekend. Just point the truck and go.
