My lack of sleep issues are stress and anxiety related. So it takes a lot to knock me out if I’m bothered by either of those things.

Normally I sleep like a rock with nothing.

I just don’t use melatonin any more. It actually takes about 12 hours to have its full effect so really it does impact you the next day.

Good lord, I think I would have OD’d and slept for a full 24 hours on 50mg.

glad you don’t use it anymore. It’s probably for the better lol

Try GABA and L-theanine. It seems to help me so far.

6 mile recovery run today. I admit I pussied out at mile 4 and did the rest on my treadmill.

After 13 miles in the heat yesterday I’m done with the sun beating on me. I needed a break.

Now I’m off to mow the lawn and trim bushes... in the sun :bananadead:

I'm hip. I do try to not eat-drink for a while before bed for instance. My schedule isn't ideal but depending on time of year I work a lot so not as much freedom on that front.

I’ve been noticing it more and more lately. If I have alcohol within an hour of bed time my sleep sucks that night. Eating sugary stuff too late night ruins my sleep as well and I wake up low blood sugar and super hungry. The body is strange.

Not a drinker myself but was in my younger years and I'd never sleep well, though that was probably the amount ingested moreso

Even just one drink close to bed time ruins my sleep. I try and make sure it’s been at least an hour between a drink and sleep. Usually just have a beer with or after dinner and then got a few more hours before sleep during the week. Weekend is a different story though ool

I’ll pass. I’m not a fan of being or getting drunk and even less a fan of hangovers. I enjoy drinking beer and a good crafted cocktail for the taste, not for getting hammered.

Recently I’ve been saying I can’t drink like I used to. But “used to” used to be 12 miller lights all Saturday 11a-12a

Now I’m done after 2 beers but I’m drinking micros that are 6-10%.

I’m actually shocked with 40 miles per week and lifting right 3 days a week right now I can tolerate two beers in a day.

Over time you do start to notice how even a little impacts you quite a bit.

That was my regimen 4-5 nights a week for most of my 20's..

Haha ya. I rarely have more than a few beers, and like you said I’m drinking all craft and everything is usually 6% or more. I was pretty buzzed after 1 marg yesterday and the day before and that was just 2oz of tequila and 0.5 oz of Cointreau haha. It hits me hard now.
Oof. Hard pass on that. I’ve always preferred smoking the reefer over drinking.

Same here. Doesnt take much anymore. Especially with IF.

I’m a cheap date these days.

Never got the reefer tho. Shit smells horrific. Could never get past that.

Oddly the green never was something I cared to try even once.

To each their own. I think it’s the best damn thing out there, but if it’s not for you, it’s not for you. I used to be able to smoke all day and be totally functional, go hike, workout, surf, whatever. Now, I just get lazy and play video games or watch tv so I really only smoke after a workout and at night now. Takes the stress away and is a nice relaxant for me

I miss bud sometimes. Beer is wasted calories and feels like shit the next day. But work > failing a drug test.
