Thanx. Ive been on 285/75/17 that comes to a 34. Had a deal drop in my lap for them so I made the jump. Otherwise probably still be on 255, love that size tire.

Camped out in Pa for some fresh air and do some wheeling at AOAA.
Didn’t even realize there was a Toyota event going on but easily avoided :lalala:

Oh cool. Seems like a good size. I jumped to 315/70r17s but they measure 34.5” -ish. Bummer I jumped to 4.88s. They may be a bit over geared for 285/75s.

Im actually on 488s and don’t feel overgeared at all.
Granted I’m running a bunch of extra weight on the truck.

That's doesn't seem to bad, considering how much you are carrying.

Yea pretty much cuz when I head out I just grab a backpack/duffel bag of clothes, sleeping bag, food and booze, and extra water and fuel (if necessary). Everything else lives in the truck like spare parts/fluids, ez-up, recovery gear, camp kitchen everything and fridge.

Oh dang. I went to the dump the other day with cardboard, weighed 5800. I loved the torque of the 4.88s with my 285s. Hated the highway rpms.

Got a new battery after it was starting to act up at camp and even started to have issues with low voltage sitting in the driveway. Decided to drop 20lbs on the fender and down size. New battery showed up and went to chuck it in but the Pelfrey battery cage was too big for the new one. After much drawn out procrastination built a new cage today.. Pretty happy with it.

    Also
** Feeler on Pelfreybilt battery cage for sale**
Bought it in 2015 I believe. Back when Pelfrey was a small fabrication company putting out good work. Pics and dimensions if interested.

3/8” cut with Evo chop saw. No problem. Cool to the touch
