They will actually. You just need the right mounting bracket. @supralee makes some. Here's one on mine with 4 Maxtrax's mounted.

So after getting the new tires installed yesterday the Spidertrax wheel spacers arrived and were installed. I think it gives the taco just the right amount of poke. I swear it smoothies the ride a bit.

what rope do you guys use to tie down loads and what not. i bought this everbuilt poly rope from home depot, and gotta admit, that stuff is hot garbage. the ends fray and ride way too easy, even after burning the tips. gonna try this new england ropes endura braid, made for rigging on boats. although im not gonna really put it through it paces i just want something to last more than a couple times i use a truckers hitch lol.

It's a package added to the SR5. The Tundra trim lines are different compared to the Tacoma. My dad has a 2019 SR5 Crewmax Tundra with the TRD Off-Road 4x4 package. I think the main differences are the wheels, skid plates, shocks, and sticker versus non TRD. Might be missing one or two other things. But it doesn't have crawl control or a rear locker like the Tacoma "off-road" package.

i have shock straps in both the 1.5" and 2" variants that i bought to take the quads around with. i like them a lot. i thought the rope would be good to secure odds and end things like a propane tank or water jugs.

SR5 was an “interior package” historically. That changed with the current tacomas but I believe the other models still kind of stick to it.

That makes sense. It really confused me at first because the current Tacoma is all I really know about Toyota trucks and SUVs; don't know the heritage. I thought it was supposed to have all the same stuff the Tacoma has then found out it wasn't the same thing.

The 1st generation Tacoma carried the dual SR5/Off Road package from 1998 to 2004.

(Edit: It seems 2005 is when they removed the SR5 badge from the TRD's door/x-cab, but left it on the tailgate, and then in 2016 they removed it, altogether, from the tailgate.)

In 2005 2016, it seems they removed the SR5 "branding" from the TRD (Off Road/Sport) package, creating an TRD (Off Road/Sport) package only. But, I refuse to let it go... In my mind, all TRD packages are SR5(plus). Says so even on my insurance documents

    sr5.jpg

That's why I re-branded it SR5 as seen here.

I don’t remember what SR5 stands for, but the 5 is for 5 speed. I believe it was the top level trim for Toyota’s at some point. I think they made the SR5 similar now, but the TRD packages are added on top of the SR5 package. You’ll notice your truck if it’s a TRD may pop up in the system as an SR5 with TRD. Pay attention if/when you do a service.

the 3 trims are basically SR (base), Limited (kind of like “luxury”) and SR5, which is the base for all of the TRD packages. It all make sense if you dig in, but Toyota does keep the heritage going when they can, just look at the pro grill for example.
