What added to my original confusion was seeing my brother-in-law's 2015 Off-road SR5 Prerunner (whatever order it's supposed to be in) Tacoma. Haha It has the Off-road sticker on the bed, and the SR5 and Prerunner badges on the tailgate. A complete jumble of labels. I understand what it all means now after doing some reading.

I like your take on the re-branding. lol

I’ve always been a knot guy, and so I don’t use straps either. I drove a truck in my youth hauling fruit. Never wanted to lose the knowledge of tying down loads. In any case, I have a lot of synthetic ropes and they all work well. I either superglue the ends, or burn the tips and clamp down with pliers before they cool.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I have a couple of 6 foot cam buckle straps similar to what's below for stuff like that, and some bungee cords. I'm considering making some para cord ropes (because I don't have enough to do already) for general usage around the truck.

    EDIT: The link would help.:anonymous:

Got it! So it must have been 2005 when they removed the SR5 badge from the TRD door/x-cab, and then 2016 when they removed it from the tailgate. :notsure:

Coincidentally, it seems the 2nd gen SR5 models place the badge on the tailgate only, while the 3rd gen SR5 models place the badge on the door/x-cab only.

Odie goes in for his 6 month service this morning - just under 2000 miles on the Odo at this point - so he got a bath, vacuum and a wipe down with Meguiar's X-press Wax.

In all honesty, I had forgotten about that episode of South Park. I used to watch it religiously when I was younger.
