Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Morning everyone.

Not so happy Saturday for me. My mower crapper out yesterday. Just stopped and won't start. Checked everything, seemed OK. Dropped it off this morning at a local repair shop. Guy checked the oil and looked like it had none. When I checked it, guess the oil that was on the stick was "residue" from just being in there. He wiped the side of the stick and it was dry. Has to take motor apart to see the damage. Rough estimate, said anywhere from $500 to $800 to fix if he needs to order a bunch of parts. Just ballpark though. Hoping he can take a look at it ASAP and let me know exactly what's going on.

I fucking hate sitting around waiting for stuff.

 

I had my dr power brush cutter shit the bed on me a month ago. Waiting on parts and stuff still. First guy I brought it too fixed something unrelated and returned it with no oil

hopefully yours is cheap and easy!

 

The way I'm looking at it, if it's $1000 or under it's "cheap". Better then having to find another used machine and dropping $2500-$3500 for it.

 

Ecgs bushing came in the mail with the two cv seals. Order finally placed for the lift.

Rough night last night with the oldest. Kept waking up crying because of his throat. Finally convinced him to take kids Tylenol. Hates it. But had to be done.

I remember when I got my tonsils out as a kid I remember plenty of ice pops those will definitely make him feel better

We've tried, and keep failing at it. I hate forcing him to have something, but it may need to get to that.

So I installed my OME 885s, Bilstein 5100s, and Deaver AALs this weekend. It took over 16 hours and a ton of frustration.

At about 5 am I couldn't sleep because something just felt wrong. The UCA was rubbing on the springs, and it was really bouncy.

We installed the fucking strut perches backwards. Somehow we managed to compress the springs en extra, I don't know, 4 inches? I woke my poor girlfriend up at 7:15 to drive me to work, but I'm dreading we've damaged the struts. Yesterday I was like 'Is the strut bending?" but thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I also did not install the washed that goes below the tophats, so my struts are doing nothing. I was so frustrated this weekend and ended up making mistakes.

I am beyond angry at myself, and scared that if it's damaged, we can't even reused the original struts because at least one had to but cut off. I should have just paid a shop to do it, or even read the instructions more carefully, but I got foolhardy and thought I was hot shit.

Wish me luck that A. nothing is broken and B. I can get my truck back to my buddy's place safely.

And to top it all off, I was so excited because I currently have like a 7 inch lift because of it and it looks awesome, although the wheels like tiny now

 

On the bright side, once he get's through this, he won't get sick as much! My oldest's recovery was a bit difficult but it was WELL worth it! Hope he feels better soon!
