    How's that shifter extension working?
Also, those center caps don't look too bad.... Lol

    Or Iowa, or Northern Missouri....

The shift extension ended up being awesome. The added leverage of the height, With the shape of the TRD-PRO knob makes it throw lightly and easily into gear. Its hard to explain without feeling the difference between Factory and the extension, but it translates to a much lighter percieved 'row' from gear to gear, and a closer wheel-to-stick movement that I like.

I've got a fairly small frame and from where I put the seat to make everything work, the shifter is ever so slightly too far away.

But... that goes against the theory that the engineers knew best when designing the truck. Which I presume means everything from bumper to bumper.
You shouldn't be messing with their creation. Especially to make something feel different - to your liking. Another example would be clutch feel (accumulator).

    Come on, now.

Imagine thinking there is some kind of 'fundamentalist' law to any of this.
You got a hot smooth-brain take on modifications, thats for sure.

VASTLY different set of consequences result between a thread on 2"inch shift-lever extension and the hydraulic actuation and mechanism of your clutch.
but im sure to you, moving the seat forwards or back is a modification too right?

Well, sure seems like you don't appreciate push back on your choice of mods..

That's ironic, since you have no qualms letting everyone know how stupid they are for stuff they do to THEIR trucks.

Funny how months of shitposting come back around eh?

I won't even light you up for the CAI/exhaust mods...

    Enjoy!

how can there possibly be "pushback" on a Truck modded completely with TRD or (formerlyTRD) production parts? It makes no sense..
Then, lol you fixated on a 2"inch shift extension and in true smooth-brain fashion you posed an impotent argument about how this is somehow the same thing as tampering with a hydraulic clutch accumulator or hacking the ECU with piggyback software coded in a garage.

You got desert-stormed, like everyone else who tries to argue objectively wrong points, but whats new under the sun?

Note: deleting the accumulator isnt actually modifying the clutch or slave cylinder at all. Actually allows them to last longer...

I could say that I think TRD "modding" your truck is a complete waste of time and money, especially if you're looking for a "performance" gain. It's your money hoss, and those Toyota bros sure like taking it.
I wouldn't say that though, because it's none of my business and it ain't my money.

    Lol the "performance gains" were:
the Bilstein suspension set to the correct level,
the Michelin Defenders which dropped 7lbs of unsprung rotating weight per corner and perform night and day different than the factory tires (which are good too)
and the Titanium hardware which will never corrode or seize over years of use in inclimate weather.
additionally, we could 'argue' about the Intake/exhaust combo's efficacy on the MT which can be revved higher into the 'power-band' than the AT, and the perceptively better throttle response they yielded.

and im an unrepentant Genuine TRD™ mark, so im not sure what point youre making about me gladly giving money to Toyota...

For this to be true, it begs the question:
    >"Why didnt the Toyota engineers do this in the first place...?"
the answer is simple, its because mechanically, the accumulator allows for more predictable clutch engagement time-over-time, in alll feasible drive-load scenarios. A stabilized variable is always a more desirable engineering outcome.
Toyota is trying to engineer out every Tom, MOC221 and Harry's subjective take on "how to work a clutch" and "how a clutch should feel", in recognition of the fact that many peoples level of experience an ability slipping a clutch has a great deal of variance, which wears on the components in different and novel ways that they are mitigating for.
Vehicles with "high" relative torque and/or "tall" first gears often have them to protect the drivetrain, especially in Truck applications that MAY include towing, extra weight etc...

Probably because too many ex-Scubaru pilots were wrecking their clutches/transmissions/ujoints/axles. For that, the rest of us can't have nice things.

BTW, what's the oil cap doin for ya?

lol Because its the marketing departments job to sell things that say " TRD " on it, not the Engineers
