Trying to move my outbuilding across the yard. Was doing good until a runner came out. Try again sometime. It was over by the fence.

This was last fall, had to repair the flail mower. In late 2018 I backed into a tree with it (oops!) and bent the hood. The knives were contacting the hood in spots, made an awful racket! Used a few jacks to push it straight and heat it to help it to stop springing back. Had to weld a piece of angle iron onto the leading edge to get the bow out. It ain’t pretty, but it works.

You can see the white paint where knives were contacting, I spun the rotor by hand with the knives held out so I could verify no more contact.

Been at the Cub 3205 today. Modified it to replace the problematic plastic hydro pedal bushings with BFBs from Aircraft Spruce. Should be the last time they ever have to be replaced.

Also did the front crank seal, set the valve lash, valve cover gaskets, new plugs, removed all the tins and started blowing decades of crud out.

Still needs radiator hoses, fuel lines, gas tank seals, and I may do the rear crank seal as the front was hard as rock. Debating on painting all the tin as well.

Been watching this thread with interest as I recently got a small property and I was scouring Craigslist.
Finally found the one for me.

For the front, I got forks, a bucket, or snow plow and for the rear, there's a backhoe, 8' mower, auger, and box blade.
Lots of projects just got doable :D

The BFBs I bought were $.50-$.90 each. The junk OEM plastic bushings they replaced cost $3-7 each. Plus they use USPS shipping so my total for ~24 bushings shipped was $13.

No more tractor work for me this week. I (very) stupidly ignored my wife’s suggestion to put on sunscreen at the beach today, insisting that I’ll just flip flop around to prevent getting burned. It worked two weeks ago!

Much to my dismay, it did not work today.

Friend of mine text me yesterday and said he had a chance to buy this mower and ask what is it worth? 60” deck, 800 hours, Kawasaki 25hp engine, good tires. His distant cousin had it and sold their house and is moving. I said $3k-$3,700. He said they’re asking $3,500. He said it had a couple small oil leaks and a broken seat. I said offer $2,500 the worse they can say is no. Well, he bought it for $2,500. It’s actually a nice looking mower. It’s a 2005 model.

I added a poll and would like everyone's input. There has been some mower talk in here, from myself included. I know some forums don't like to interact tractors and mowers but I seriously don't mind one bit. I enjoy talking about them both, working on any of them, helping others with info if I can, and don't mind if others do the same. Please feel free to vote and also add any comments if you wish

Speaking of mowers: we just sold out Cub Cadet rider/snowblower combo. Looking to upgrade to a subcompact for landscaping and snow removal duty. We're leaning towards Kioti. Anyone here have any experience with their CS model tractors?

No help on the CS line but a good friend has a CK27 with a loader and a 3pt. backhoe attachment. He's had pretty good service from it, most things that have happened to it have been operator inflicted i.e. stick through fan/radiator, front diff blowing out because no oil, etc. Other than those he likes it.

Hoses and fittings were almost as much as the hydraulic top link. I’m excited to get this on later

I went with 1/2” hose because the quick connects are 1/2” NPTF thread, check out the hole restriction in the cylinder, it’s 3/8” NPTF, the hole is about 3/16”.

Do tour arms also adjust? If so also add the tilt option.

I only have two remotes, the loader is plugged into the other one. My right arm adjust with a screw type adjustment.
