I only ment .Gov thing in so far as people who quote government contracts are going to spec almost exclusively A&B parts because of how expensive the stuff is. Any job I've ever had that dabbled in .Gov contracts always specs the most expensive thing being idiots see the price and think oh it has to be the beat!

I agree whole heartedly with you though. The few time I get called to a site to troubleshoot something I always breath a sigh of relief when I see Allen Bradley drives or PLCs.. I've never seen a Telemecanique in person but I can only imagine the shit show that could be to work on :)

How long have you been at your position? Think you're able to get a desk job at the place you're at or just use it as a jumping off platform to bigger and better things

Quick peek at it and I noticed the red numbers are exactly half of whatever the black numbered marks are measuring/indicating

Self centering applies to inside vs outside measurements. The tip centers on 0.

It couldn't be a bad thing to do that therapy

Made so much sense to hear him explain it...
How about the part that wigged Joe out, 'your eyeballs are actually two pieces of exposed brain':rofl:
But it makes sense what he says about the intentional use to strengthen those comms/signals between sight and brain.

2" brick Mason's rule provides # of courses of brick over height measured.
Someone bought their tape measure on the Mason's isle next to Trowels

Such a clean looking build in the pics. Nice useful build also. Well as long as you're into vehicle based exploring and camping. It's a helluva lotta fun:D

A carpenters rule won't have the same markings.
Do you know why carpenters tapes have red diamonds at 4, 8 and all even #s?

If it's construction built after 1980s, yes, squareness will be missing. If it was constructed prior, you can take the squareness to the bank.
The carpenters and builders from 30-40+ years ago, before pre-hung doors, etc were some freaking skilled tradesman

    Not if you.use . Michaelangelo's
    3 4 5 rule instead of a framing square.
