    Looking for recommendations...

I have several sets of tires and wheels; winter, off-road and the OEMs that came with my 2020. All have their own TPMS sensors. My dealer and local tire company wants $50 per tire to reprogram the vehicle every time I change out the set. What would you all recommend purchasing so I can do this myself?

    Thanks,

    12Tac

Does the Autel Register the new numbers in the ECU or are you cloning the sensors?

You can search google or youtube. The 2 things that I have seen work is the carista obd ii scanner and people like Techstream if you can get it to work. There are websites that sell chinese knock offs of the cable you need and it comes with a jailbroken version of techstream. Also Amazon sells those cables with the software.
The cheaper cables work with older versions of windows such as xp and 7 32 bit. You will need the vcxdiag if you have a 64 bit system

You can use the autel I linked to program the new sensors into the ECU.

Thank you. I should've bought the autel instead of collecting cables and 7 versions of techstream. To make it worse the Autel 501 was on sale at BJ’s for $85.

Dude, glad i found this... I broke my TPMS stem the SECOND we go on trail, yesterday.... I bought a 315mhz tpms with a rubber stem, and this is exactly what i wanted to know... how to be able to program these myself.

Hopefully the rubber stems will be more forgiving on the trail...

This is great to hear... hoping I will be able to use and program the rubber stemmed TPMS replacement.... The steel stems are WAY too vulnerable on the trail...

Works really well as an expensive tire pressure reader accurate to 0.1 psi.

Why not buy the tools and sensors to operate it yourself? The basic TS501 costs around $200, and it's easy to operate, and it will turn into a job in minutes after you use it a few times.
