Roy was a badass. Some of his stuff, put a strat (Ibanez) in his hands, crank the gain, it would be straight up metal.

    Cheap chinese crap.
Wasnt worth the weeks it took to get here or the minutes I wasted grinding down the back of it so it fit down in there just to find out it is NOT 7mm.

Did some rearranging today of the work station.
Had to rebuild/reformat the comp again so I just put it on a small table to keep it off the ground.

    Removed my shitty tv.

Removed my laptop because the graphics card fan took a shit.

Installed a Peruvian salt light and someplace for a notepad so I can jott things down.

Place for my phone and by ear buds. Some other minor shit.

Need to crawl under and start some cable management or just put up some black poster board and hide all that shit.

    Maybe a small oriental rug.

Man those guys hate 4/4... pretty cool what they're doing. I always have trouble feeling a groove on the odd time signatures.

Edit: except for the Toadies stuff I listened to way back, but they were really only going 4/4 to 3/4 and back.

i listened to a lot of Dillinger Escape Plan and math-y shit in high school, hearing 4/4 again was kind of a system shock after a while. i appreciate weird timings, but every time i try to write in them it comes off sounding forced. still got a long way to go in the songwriting department.
