I'm not seeing it with searches, and links that I had that went directly to it seem to no longer be working.

I picked mine up Thursday after having the TSB done and I must say the steering feels tighter and the rattle is gone! Very important since the roads here are fairly bad.

I don't really notice a rattle, it just feels like my steering is incredibly loose. And while it does always feel a lot worse on rough dirt roads, I notice it on pretty much any uneven surface, including just slightly uneven pavement.

The problem is constant, but like when I hit an uneven point in pavement, it feels like it shoots the wheels briefly in a different direction momentarily.

That would be the "clunk" as described in the TSB. I feel this in my 2011 and am going to pursue the fix.

Well, I generally don't hear anything though, the steering just feels ridiculous.

I'd be all over this TSB if I was still under warranty, but it's not. That's the only reason I haven't already done it. I'd like to ensure as much as possible that it's going to help before I spend the bucks. Even if I install the shaft myself, the part itself will cost $200 or $300.

    Sounds good, thanks!

If you happen to pull the cover to take a look at it, could you snap a few pics and post them up? I'd just like to see if there's any clear visible difference.

    brutalguyracing, any updates?

I bought the shaft and a friend and I tried to install it last night. Unfortunately we could not get the old shaft off. It didn't want to budge. It's probably corroded to the lower shaft.

But right now it's my only vehicle, so I didn't want to get forceful and end up stuck without a vehicle for any amount of time, so I had to abort the operation.

I'm either going to be calling a dealership and see if they'll install it for me, or try to return the part I guess.
