    Getting pretty close to finishing my Speedhut AFR and boost gauge install, gauges still just loose in Flexpod mount.
    Just wanted to share some photos and say thanks to all that have helped thus far with everything S/C related.
    Re the pics, ran AFR line next to some factory lines (that did not have shielding, or at least as much) so figured it would be OK, got some high temp cable ties on order, will replace before putting on too many miles.
    Went through the driver side firewall for the boost sensor line in an empty slot, drilled the passenger side and used a grommet for the AFR.
    AFR settles at what looks like 14.7, and engine pulls vacuum at idle and moves towards boost on heavy throttle.
    Have not driven yet, will share results if I think they are off in some way.

    Because of steering wheel contact? No. I was surprised it fit without rubbing.
    Or were you talking about the gauge pods?

    Mine rubs EVER so slightly. It's really annoying, but then again the way the gauges are held in place is not right either so whatever. Aftermarket stuff.

    The bevels on my gauges required a lot of trimming of the flexpod bracket, and then I had to trim the buttons on the gauge down to not rub the steering wheel

    I just went out and looked, should have taken a photo. I have TONS of clearance, good thing my Tacoma wasn't built with as much precision as my '96 4Runner. o_O
    My Flexpod came with some felt adhesive pads, evidently they knew it would rub for some, or maybe they are rubber, I don't remember.

    Anybody have any suggestions on hiding the wires running from the gauges to the dash in top of the steering column housing? If I were smart I would have used some heat shrink while I had to chance.

    Did some road tests - normal driving my AFR appears to be just under 15, seems fine to me. Leans out off throttle coasting, read this is OK.
    Under WOT I'm getting some pretty low ratio numbers, like down to 10 - 11.
    After searching this thread I see some posts saying that is to be expected with stock pulleys and TRD tune.
    What do you guys think? Send it to @JustDSM for his super tune?

    You should had sent it to him a long time ago. 11.2 - 11.5 should be the normal range under WOT for proper power and safe fuel delivery.

    Quick question for those that have logged with HPTuners, have you noticed your AFR on one bank is slower than the other to catch up to desired AFR? I was going through one of my logs and it seems bank 2 takes longer to equalize to the desired afr the ecu is requesting. I guess I am just wondering if this is normal or something I need to look into.

    Only the TRD tune by @JustDSM Heard the BD tunes were notorious for running lean, did NOT want that.

    The TRD tune typically ran richer in open loop, so numbers you are seeing are where they should be with all things considered. With the same TRD tune, you'll start leaning out with supporting mods. Or, get a new tune now and again later after you get the supporting mods...but otherwise its decently safe as is, 10-11 can wash out your cylinder walls over prolonged time so don't be ripping it all the time.
